    ...at exactly 6:47 you will see an old dilapidated Russian car parked in the parking lot of that gas station (the closest car). It's an old Russian Lada from the 1980s. Glad to see it's still running. lol Looks like they've been doing body work on it and they even added a hood scoop! lmao lawlz Gotta love Panama! RUclips recomendations are working great! HAHAHAHA Buen vídeo de mi ciudad, David, saludos desde... pues de David Norte xD
    PS: I think temperature in David is actually higher those you presented in that chart. Maybe it's because wheather apps show you the temperature and the real feel, which, in David, is usually way higher than the "temperature". So in March and April we actually have like 40°C, and so in the summer months (January, February) but with less humedity and very windy :D

    • @WeMovedToPanama
      @WeMovedToPanama  3 года назад +2

      Awesome! Thank you for your input..... if we go by South African weather, the humidity here is off the charts! It has taken a full year to get used to the heat and humidity. 30°C in South Africa is totally different to the same temperature here!

      @@WeMovedToPanama You are South Africans holy cow. I live in Canada and I am from Costa Rica, my partner is white South African. You did so right choosing Panama. My step father is Panamanian . I consider panama a good country ( just like Costa Rica is too) any country has crime but South Africa is going down down down. In Latin America you just need to be aware of your surroundings , who is following u in the streets and things like that because thieves think tourists are rich) I guess Panama is Cheaper than Costa Rica, although Panama is becoming a little expensive from what I have heard but I am not sure about this though . Also be aware with real state sellers or be aware even with your lawyers as they sometimes want to take advantage of tourists. You have a wonderful RUclips channel. Very nice RUclips channel.

      Yes - a lot of South Africans are moving to Panama... unfortunately ... we all know each other and some get into each others business, but there are some nice ones here also and those are the ones you want to know. As long as the Friendly Nations Visa doesn't change too much I predict Chiriqui will become one of the most popular places for South Africans live.

    Great video..Greetings from Panama City... David in Chiriqui is the total oposite of Panama City. Even though its hot, I like it. The people are friendly. My grandmothers family is from Tole in Chiriqui, Province. The bus terminal in David is one of hte best in country. Even though basic, its very easy to get from one destination to the other in Chiriqui by using the buses in the terminal as they have signs listing their destination and fares are very inexpensive $1.90 to Boquete. about the same to Paso Canoas, or $2.00 to Volcan or $2.50 to Cerro Punta. Love going there. I stay in the downton area close to Cervantes park then use as base to stay while in Chiriqui. Then I go to the terminal to go to the multiple destinations.

    Kewl coverage. Question: That climate chart on the average temperatures and sun hours, where'd ya get it? I'd like to find something like that for the capital City of Panama as well.
    Reason, my dad, as will I, will soon be purchasing an electric vehicle that is powered by the sun and from these calculations, depending on the month, it will be able to yield the following ranges, entirely just from the sun, without having to plug it in. It's nice not having to worry about plugging your vehicle in to charge the batteries if you don;t have to. For David, from your chart, for the most part, it looks like one would still be able to get a decent amount of range, even in the rainy season:
    On a perfectly clear day: 44 miles added range from the sun.
    SUN CHARGING IN THE CITY OF DAVID
    =================================
    based on mean monthly sunshine hours
    Jan 40.5 miles
    Feb 38.4 miles
    Mar 39.6 miles
    Apr 31.6 miles
    May 23.5 miles
    Jun 18.1 miles
    Jul 20.6 miles
    Aug 21.7 miles
    Sep 19.8 miles

    One of the many problems no one addresses is the Panamanian currency. Although Panama has its own currency (the Balboa), however, Panama also uses the U.S. dollar. The Balboa to U.S. dollar exchange rate is 1-to-1, which doesn't make since when it comes to GDP. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Panama was worth 52.94 billion US dollars in 2020. Compare that to the U.S. GDP in 2020 at $20.93 trillion. So how did the 1-to-1 exchange rate balance off? Someone with subject matter expertise in economy explain this...I am not convinced that Panama is the best or most beneficial place to retire.

I much appreciate your approach at simply displaying what you see without going out of your way to frame things in ways that polarise one way or another. Things are what they are and in general, David is a very nice place, and the province of Chiriqui is an awesome and very rich and luscious province with awesome farms and vegetation with lots and lots to offer.
