- Officers set up multiple undercover drug stings to catch drug dealers and those looking to buy narcotics. As soon as a deal is made countless undercover officers are on the scene ready to arrest the unwitting suspects. Elsewhere, a traffic stop turns into a dangerous police pursuit through the desert. Meanwhile, an officer responds to an unusual animal complaint call; a couple have found hundreds of birds in their chimney.
Real-life officers are followed by a camera crew, cinéma-vérité style, in a gritty up-close look at police work and the consequences of crime. It spawned a number of police-reality imitators.

I mean if you're car is used in the commission of a felony that's what happens. It's seized by the department as evidence and kept as evidence until the conclusion of the case. For some weed, ya that's crazy but it's not like those people didn't know they were committing a felony by doing what they were doing. This is also decades ago, clearly the laws have evolved since then.

Entrapment is when police/undercover forces you to commit a crime. They didn't, perp came up to them and buy. But yeah, taking away their cars for some weed is really extreme. To raid houses, you need warrants, probable cause there's a process. Therefore it's easier to just catch those on the streets it's not fair but it is what it is.
