For anyone wondering it won’t work yet, they might have patched it but that’s only for games that are a global release. It’s currently 2 PM in New Zealand so we won’t know for a few more hours if it’s going to work or not.
This doesn't work anymore. Come on man. They been saying this is patched for months. And they made it a global release where it drops at 4 pm est world wide, no matter what time zone you are in. We know you are better than this man. Don't spread false info.
This will not work if you change your location on xbox then go to the release time of the game you will see it accounts and adjusts the release date and time accordingly. Sadly this no longer works, pretty dumb.
They fixed this. You can no longer play early with the New Zealand method. You can play the game as early as 4 PM EST on Monday.
