The seat and safety systems eject with the pilot which would make reentry and piloting near impossible if not completely impossible. Ejection is never a temporary deal....it's only purpose is to save your ass. Once you eject, your aircraft is basically an aerodynamic, high output heap of garbage....it's going to go down and you're going to face some serious consequences regardless of your reason for ejecting...Jets aren't cheap and the air force/navy makes sure you know that.
