This is really random, but can I just say I really appreciate the long fade-outs on your videos. Gives me time to actually look at the end-cards and/or click off before something else in the playlist starts blaring at me! :P
Pretty much my dream Superstrat. Got all the specs that hit the right spots, 24 SS frets, nice contoured heel, HSS. Knowing myself I'd probably block the trem with the coin and duct tape method and solder in a hotter bridge humbucker, but hey I can't afford one so wishfull thinking anyway :') Thanks for the demo man; great playing! You could make anything sound great.
Oof, position 4 on those pickups I would live there. I'd build a small log cabin, sit on the porch in a rocking chair with a mug of hot chocolate, and just soak it all in.
Man, I’ve been following your playing for a long time, first found you on Anderson’s early videos & stuff with Rob...been a fan of all you guys. Man, you are a phenomenal guitar player...I mean like another planet level. Those are fine guitars, but I think you’re playing is the star. Peace!
Damn dude!!!! I wish you got to keep one of them for the channel!! They sound amazing in your hands dude!! Could you imagine if you did a custom mayones guitar for yourself!! Wow that is just amazing to imagine with your BKP Silo’s in there!!
Dang! I’m all about solid nitro finishes over figured woods, and I’ve never been a fan of those pearloid guards, but if I had four grand laying around I’d snatch up one of these in a heartbeat. Something special them. Great demo, as always.
@@jestemkwita Ok, i would think that a suhr is maybe equivalent in terms of build quality... but i know Mayones is very high level, i played a few, they're fantastic.
Now that is very interesting. 24 frets pushes the neck and middle pickups closer to the bridge, so far more higher harmonics on the neck pickup. Assuming the middle is wired opposite to neck and bridge then you should get quacky noise-cancelling but with better high frequencies, Bit like a Strat on steroids? Bright and jangly but with even more attitude. Love it.
Wow they both look 👀 & sound great but the flame maple FM6 sounds absolutely phenomenal. Then again anything you play sounds great 👍 Love the channel & you’re album’s 🎶
I hate you Bea. I was pretty close to pulling the trigger on an MIH Ibanez AZ Prestige HSS as a less delicate alternative to my beloved HSS Suhr. But man, these Mayones Aquilas look and sound INCREDIBLE! Thanks for making my life difficult :D
Mayones is carried by the "Music Store Professional" in cologne. Their "Fame" (exclusive for "Music Store Professional") guitars are also of Mayones origin. These 2 "super Strats" are just perfect eye candy. I would love to say: "watch out Fender custom shop" but i can't because of the resale value. So these axes are for the player, not the accountant ... ant they deserve to be played. Great demo, thanks a lot!
Hey bea!! Thanks dude this video is just what I needed to watch today!! Your playing always makes me inspired!! Thank you cocker that video was a good un you should be chuffed with that video spadge
I heard the QM as being snappier in tone. Both beautiful guitars. I think my recently unemployed budget, I'll take to my cheapest guitar with some mayonaise, and settle for that. :P
I currently own a Suhr Modern, an Ibanez AZ Prestige, a couple of Tom Anderson Droptop Classics. Out of those 3 brands the AZ getting the most play time. It feels rugged sort of go anywhere...a Swiss army knife of a guitar. The Anderson are absolutely amazing for its build quality & feel....I honestly believe guitar making cannot be any better than Tom Anderson but they are still not my most favourite, yes, the best of everything for sure but not the most favourite. And my Suhr Modern....umm feels rather ordinary 😂. I think the Suhr & Ibanez Prestige are on par but I much prefer the AZ neck...its chunky but very playable and begging you to dig into notes. I’m very interested in the Mayones but I could get another Anderson for the same money 🙄 If the house burns down I’d save my 2 Anderson the Ibanez is totally replaceable, the Andersons were custom order and very special! And the Suhr? let it burned....😂
Nice headstock, probably the most satisfying fender knock off ive seen, almost original, got the hockeystick thing going which completes the guitar like the ones that taper thinner dont seem to do like Shur's or Godin's. Not a fan of fusion guitars i guess but thats a good description , they dont look very original, actually look identical to some Godin's ive seen hanging in the shop for awhile, same styling but i supposed thats what they were going for and they are bringing that attention to detail and quality so its nice you can get a normal looking guitar form them now, i liked their non normal looking stuff better though, probably a steal too, you're probbably getting Gibson custom shop in these things.
Hot damn they look and sound AMAZING 🤩⚡🔥🎸😱 ok so now i'm torn between the Mayones Aquila, Ibanez Az and Suhr :( HEEEELP PS: yes yes i know 1st world problems 😂😂
I know there's perfectly good chance your comment's theoretical considering the price but mayones are essentially a custom shop so I see no reason why they couldn't do that
there is so much quality (both form and function) these days that the competition among luthiers worldwide is elevated as a result. great for what is more easily available to the consumer too. that makes it harder to stand out among the herd and raises the bar for what it takes to do so. also makes it harder to choose just one guitar to buy. I'd assert we have the superior end of it all 'coz we can't really lose. a biz perpetually risks existence. great guitars aren't going to stop being made....by SOMEBODY. just become an informed consumer...and seek a sensai like Rabea for guidance along the path. IMO Mayones genuinely accomplishes winning of that coveted "Sore Thumb" award, both on the creating end and on the consuming end...which is no small feet these days.
So baking maple woods, "enhances" your tone?!? Lmao! That is pretty hilarious. Other than all the marketing catch phrases. They actually look like really well built and gorgeous looking guitars. The blue one is a bit much for my taste but nice nevertheless.
Actually you can look Warmoth's video on the topic, and it really does changes the frequency resonances of the woods, calling it "enhancing" is a bit of a stretch but it's not crazy either
@@TheSaniwaa That's all well and good but pickups don't pick up the sound of vibrating wood whatsoever, all about pickup and string choice. Resonant woods and good build quality certainly help sustain and feel though
@@Christopowaaa Pickups resonate along with the body (the distance of pichups from strings changes in subtle way), so it obviously inluences the sound, e.g. kind of wood as well as the entire design of body and neck matter.
Love the Mayones. Everybody I've ever seen playing them sounds kick ass. No idea why anyone would buy a "Strat" these days. They still are way better value than lets say stupidly expensive Fender Custom Shops which don't really deliver any high-end features or exotic woods, nothing like that... Just more or less basic Fenders with absurd price tags
Curiosity: we call bird's eye maple the peacock's eye maple in Polish :).
