Just stare at your opponent, they will eventually resign.
How do you stare at the opponent. You mean emoji lol

@conan377 yes I meant OTB 😆

@@dallascarr4519your mistake was playing 30 min chess. Max 10 min but 5 is where it's at
so much better explained than some random 18 minute video i found
I hope this is exaggerated no shot someone took 18 mins to explain a king and rook mate
@@horizon146 I've taken 20 minutes teach how we used to learn the checkmate (the slower way but follows a guaranteed pattern), but I was also teaching 9 year olds.
yeh, but if you're on the black king situation, the only thing for you to survive by getting a draw is to stay in the middle, 4 squares ( middle ) just keep avoiding the rook, and it will be a 50 - rule draw, +2 elo ig
Best is "facing kings" Strategy as it works on rooks and queen both and it has no chances of stalemate
@@horizon146 first 10 mins like and sub 7 mins for sponser and the last 1 minute for showing how to actually mate
" Now slowly bring king into the corner, and deliver a draw! "
😂😂
wong...
it's deliver A DRAW!!! 😂
I actually prefer the "facing kings" approach. Put your rook blocking the file the king can escape from and make your king face the other. When they move directly in front of your king, deliver a check with the rook.
this method is absolutely practical, easy to understand and execute
this is much simpler.... I use this everytime
yeah it’s a million times simpler and you can’t accidentally stalemate either
This is the approach I use :)
It's so much easier idk why he's teaching this overcomplicated box thing

Me too but the instructions was clear

He edged that black king so good
It’s been a while since he uploaded 30 second chess lessons
The white king rides the rook to get rid of black🗿🗿
This is the method I use to checkmate cuz the long 100 move checkmate that everyone else does is way too inefficient, and I figured a box would be very quick so I’ve just used this method instead for a while now.
"Step 1, underpromote your pawn to a rook."
I’ve played thousands of games and still never quit figured out this end game strat. It’s pretty usefull
very good mental framework for this Levy. This would have been great when I was learning the rook mate
next we need a two bishops checkmate and a queen checkmate
First step , beg your opponent to stay in game after loosing everything .
Sometimes a waiting move at the end is handy.
The thing where you move the rook only when kings line up is so much easier for me brain lol
My 400 ass couldn't checkmate with 9 queens
I am stupid at chess and i did it with 3 agaisnt martin
@@ashsanimationsandstuff2463 martin is ez

its probably just easier to bribe them into resigning
Thanks today i got draw in 3 matches to nelson due to stalemate. 1 repetitive move draw rapid. 2 stalemate rapid. Now i will show those chuckers.
Finally I won after using your method!! I was less on time and I had 2 rooks and a knight. I just kept the knight and one rook to a corner and did exactly this with the second rook. It took some time I had 1 minute left in rapid. The king escaped a few times from the cage. Make sure you are not doing checkmate with the rook before that final checkmate obviously. And finally victory after long series of draws and stalemates.🎉🎉🎉🎉😂
Nice, the how to get a pawn/king combo to the end vs a king has got me so many wins already. This will definitely add to the repertoire.
Thanks, now I know more about endgame tactics like boxes, you are really good at it
The fact that I was legitimately just in this scenario
'Do not give a check until it's checkmate'
*STALESMATES*
I was stuck in this situation later the opponent offered me a draw and i accepted tha
I call it boxing.
"and dont check unless it's checkmate"
me: proceeds to stalemate my opponent after 50 moves
NGL, this is one of the few videos I'm actually learning something from. Usually I just watch cool games and reviews, but this is truly an important thing to know
instructions unclear the kings are touching now
Except for that one time, the kings could touch
We need a video of how to mate with a bishop and knight against a king. I was recently on that situation and had to win by time
There is one in shorts. But without some important moments
you could fine probably 1000's of lessons and puzzles by googling it
I prefer the king move copy method where you checkmate them while in opposition to the king.
Bro this loop is so good I didnt notice that it actually looped
I always forget this Pattern and i have to re learn it with 30 sec on the clock 😂
me with 10 seconds left:
You can also cut the king off the rank (7th or 2nd) and move the king in front until the king is on the edge then moving the rook
It's not about not giving a check, it's about not letting the king escape the cage.
Levy just entertain me never stop watching and funny moments like the ROOOOOK!!!! Never gets old
He has a perfectly good rook, and forgot to sacrifice it.
It's much easier to force the king to face your king and checkmate at the edge with THE ROOOOK!
Ahh the box method
The fact that the black player is being caged, is just 💀💀💀
I don’t like the colour black. I think it’s only acceptable when black things are working on a farm

Instructions unclear, game ended in stalemate.
When I learned this, I associated it with doing a back-rank mate. The difference is that the three pawns are virtual, created by your own king
He missed mate on two
I actually beat someone in a tournament once whilst only having 25 seconds left lol
I gave up my rook to give a draw from not being able to figure out the puzzle. I almost had it but was under 20 seconds on my clock
It can actually be done much more safely (i.e. never accidentally blundering your rook) by actually keeping the rook far away from the king. Draw a line that the black king cannot cross. Force the kings into opposition and then give a check. Each time this happens, the black king has to move closer to the edge of the board. Continue this process and the final check will be checkmate. It's not as quick, but it's much simpler.
For some reason, this happened to me when I was playing against my mother in Chess. You were in my head with this video I had memorized and it worked like a charm LMAO
Sometimes you have to move your king in a little triangle before mate
I always got opposition, then ckecked. Used triangulation
This is when I sacrifice the rook when we shouldn't
Yooooo this is the first thing my teacher taught the chess club
you can either corner checkmate or side checkmate with rook
How to make your opponent resign:
Show him Alexandra Bozez playing
The way with opposition and then check might be a little slower but it definitely is safer for me.
Opponent will resign much earlier 😂
The muscline urge to sacrifice the rookkkkkkkkkkkkkkk😂❤
I use similar but different method. I make a dead line with rook and use my king to deliver a check forcing king to move to another rank by rank, which eventually forces king to stay at the corner. Then checkmate.
Thanks to this guy I've learnt so much chess...as a matter of fact I used this method today...most times it ends a stalemate thanks levyyyy
I do it by moving the king until it faces the opponents king and then giving a check
It's easier for me to use the use the king as a wall while you check strategy safer against stalemate
Stockfish: OH HELL NAW

BUILD A CAGE
The way you checkmate is
When the black king is in the edge and if the two kings are in a straight line that is where you check using ur rook

Because there are never any other pieces in the way.
