I will start by saying Kelly is my favorite, but Michelle did the damn thing "on this song" she was controlled and she sounded vunerable and emotional.... Beyonce will always be the belter of the group and this was back when they were push her to step out and shine, just listen to how the modulation and progression completely changes as soon as she started singing... they did good, it's not janet's version but i like that re vamped it

I'm not a singer so I don't know the proper titles like alto and all that but I think when they became a trio and they had to conform to three part harmonies , she had to sing outside of her comfortable range. notice she wasnt pitchy in the early dc4 performances
