If you became stranded on a remote Arctic island during a deadly weapons test, what would you do? I’m going to break down the mistakes made, what you should do, and how to beat the MYSTERIOUS ISLAND/WEAPONS TEST in ARCTIC VOID.

I don't know.. I think there's a lot taken for granted. I doubt this one is beaten considering these weapons were probably government related or possibly multi-national weapons testing. The pure isolation of the event kinda guarantees that you and everyone involved will have such a slim chance of escape that you might as well charge head first into the infected polar bear's mouth.
Yeah similar to the netflix show annihilation there's not much you can do it's something you know nothing about that makes people disappear lmao
I agree not to mention if you somehow did make it back it town and somehow managed to destroy the documents again without getting seen and arrested and there for goving your position to the government then you're still gonna have to one get back to town on the first place. And neither of these things happened. Mostly cause the trio were focused on figuring out what happened which did waste tons of time
Dude a polar bear will eat you alive. Doesn't even have the decency to kill you first.

I'm amazed. Did this weapon also vaporize the people's clothes? Did the guy go around throwing all the peoples' clothes overboard? Or did the sonic weapon mess with their minds and make it appear as if everyone vaporized?

I stopped watching HTB after I noticed how often they say "It's terrifying". I genuinely turned it into a game to see how long an episode could go without them saying it and often didn't even get to the 2 minute mark.
Nerd explains is the best no contest in my humble opinion.
Stopped watching Htb When they changed the narrator, who keeps zooming in on his own face every 8 seconds
I like listening to videos from a few years ago where Nerd's voice isn't as gruff and his thoughts on the dumb-dumbs in trouble isn't as cynical. Then listen to a few from the intervening years to hear him get more and more worn down by these idiots and how they seem to have learned nothing from his detailed research into life-saving alternatives.

Honestly, I find it odd that they felt the need to off Sean themselves. The whale song could have easily just... not been provided, or been a placebo to make sure Sean would also succumb to the illness like everyone else.
Maybe they wanted to see if the song actually worked as a cure as well

But Sean was calling them and giving them updates, which was likely enough for them to know it worked.
They propably planned to keep him alive for reporting but terminated him when they learned others had survived as well.
Simple: they go to collect Sean, who’s been given a cure for this weapon. If he is still alive, they know they have a functioning cure. There’s no need to send him home after that. They got exactly what they needed from him.

It feels like the story with government weapon testing is quite forced. I think the initial idea would be more scifi like alien or supernatural like afterlife or something. That's why the ending is also very bad, because they didn't know what to do with it.

The escape method you chose in the end wouldn’t work; remember the walrus whom punctured its own baby?? Well imagine a tube creating a lot if noise and movement in the water.. i only say this because just yesterday i saw a clip of an aggressive walrus doing its best (and successfully) puncturing a raft like the one in this movie as the fishermen or whatnot were pulling the raft out of the water the walrus swung like three times puncturing it once but just enough to sink if they were still in the water. Love your videos just being in the arctic waters while aggressive polarbears, walruses, orcas, octopus or any other sea monsters would not be ideal!😂😬
how was the soup still warm sitting there on a windowsill in freezing cold?
I think it was suppose to indicate that they were still being exposed to the weapon. Like a microwave heating up food.
It was just made. The sniper just stepped out for a moment to get something and coincidentally missed him. It's a big hotel.

I think Sean's whale calls on that antique sound recorder are a very strange weapon similar to how sperm whales can vibrate you to death in the water with their calls and clicks I think it being the recording has a similar effect on any biological brain and was probably used in a more powerful vibration aka sound speakers and that small recording is of the same noise used on the larger weapon and that's why the recording log isn't making sense because the person who made it is probably a dead government employee possibly the one that made the weapon in the first place it makes sense because sounds travel through water differently than gas or solid states of matter making that dingy a death trap because u got something that would act like a membrane not a barrier and since he listened to the recording for longer then his spinal cord recieved the information from his brain to acclimate to this sound or we will expire cuz of you recover from injuries then your body has a time to build up resistance and immunity against damaging your meat suit and precious cargo carrying flesh helmet just a thought tho 🧐

This plot is 100% pure RPGMaker horror material.
Except that it needed to pretend to be based in reality for the movie, which adds a ton of fluff for the plotholes that would isually just be handwaived; it's the emotional impact that's important in RPGMaker horror, not adhetence to reality.

They probably were watching the whole time. I think he was unknowingly part of the experiment. Maybe they wanted to see if the whale sounds actually kept him alive and well. So they gave him a bs job and sent him out there to get tested on.

I have a feeling the whole experiment originated from the "abandon town".
Uhhh…actually once you saw his dead body, I would make sure that the camera he brought was somewhere it could be found. The fact that Sean was shot, means that there is surveillance around. I would have taken that blue camera that had enough evidence on it, and make sure to pocket that. Use it as collateral and evidence one day if you happen to get out of there. Honestly, if this testing was real and it vaporized people, then in the unlikely event that he made it to another town, I would suggest not living in a large city ever again, because that is what they would attack first. Bring the recorder with you and I would mass record the sound for my family and friends and have them listen to it and off grid we all go.

There are sonic weapons that exist, the American police use them
There is also something called exploding head syndrome, which is basically a loud sound likely caused by fossil fuel pipe resonance.
There was also the US embassy attacks, which were microwaves which caused sonic delusions
