For example: Maybe a low ranked team would start with pistol only, then get a specter and light shield. After switching sides they maybe can full buy, etc, etc. This gives a sense of suspense to the video as the opposing team would slowly face an increasing challenge!

This is the first thing I noticed. The viper hated using their wall on defense. Literally had it unused in all of the first 5 rounds shown.

Im immortal 1 currently, and something i quickly noticed was the util usage. During the first half the skye didn’t seem to use their util in order to make space, and used it more for only themself. As for the viper, they just didn’t utilize their util well and didn’t use their wall for the first five rounds. In addition to that, i noticed the viper over rotating, and neither of them preaiming angles before they swing.
pointless flashes insta crouch, bad pre aim, 3 bullet rule not present, no strafing at all, bad map awareness, crosshair placement is not even high silver/gold aim, overall viper is js bad and skye is lucky mf

as fellow gold player most of people below plat rarely clear all angle and never pre aim... I am learning pre aim and it is pain in ass, and one point I want to know as viper is it good to always wall A site at attacking?
The skye was doing okay for his rank. If he improves his ability utilization and aim he can rank up. But the viper, snake biting own teammate, never using the wall, shift walking literally everytime. He said that his team would smoke him, blind him if he top frags, well the gameplay said it all
I mean kills wise skye was doing decent but he used his util absolutely awfully and baited teammates all the time.

I feel like lots of people are missing out the fact they need game sense as you go into higher elos, I am Ascendant 3 peak currently still Asc 3 and lemme just say lacking game sense will rlly be a big problem as you rank up.
I see WAYYYY too many people in my asc-dia-washedimmo lobbies with horrible gamesense its not even funny, some people just be slipping through
I peaked asc 3 and then deranked back to asc1 because skill issue then asc 1 are just diamonds/asc with no comms and dog shit mechanic

bro, i am silver and these guys are definitely below average. so many mistakes in the first round itself. viper was peaking while crouching. aiming at body shot level and not trying to aim for the head, shot thru smokes and gave away location. i could tell how much the immortals were holding back too.
skye was definitely a real gold, she wasnt playing half bad, but camped a lot the entire match, which surprisingly worked, idk how tho since in my lobbies people make sure to check every single corner
Imma keep it a buck. A lot of rly low elo (gold and below) think they play better than they do. If u record a Vod it’ll be more obvious.
There are a lot of these comments in these kinds of videos, but really you do play like these guys if you're silver/gold. It's probably just a lot less evident when you yourself are playing.

although aim is a pretty important factor when ranking up, which the two lower elo players seemed to emphasize in their intros, it is also important to know that positioning and game sense help make the game a lot easier. i noticed that both of the players aim is consistently on enemy models which allows them to get the frags that they get, however what i notice alot that they seem very nervous when trying to hold site, they constantly move around rather than holding a single angle and backing off once they have the info they need. another thing is that they seem to not know how to use their util. there were many instances where skye could have flashed around a corner or flashed onto site in order to gather info or to help with the exec, similarly with viper although the viper util is decent, i wouldve liked to see him use the viper wall more for retakes and/or execs, (attacker wall across to get into Lamps and to also wall off ct)
they said above average for their rank like that doesn’t mean you can skip 5 😂😂😂 really are the most confident silvers

they got the "I win my gunfights" confidence to say they deserve immortal but you can see both their weakness is coordination: when to push/rotate, when to use util, following up util, following their team in. all the timing and coordination things
You can see the silver and the gold can’t play with their team. They only get the lurk kills. Their until usage is also inexistent

As a returning player who has climbed from b2 to s3 in about a week and still climbing, I can confirm that I would love to play these players as they both play like bronzes (viper didn’t use wall that much if at all and skye baited team)
I really liked the idea of these series... until I actually decided to look up the actual rank of the 'immortals' in question.
Over half of these players aren't even immortal, didn't even PEAK immortal. Half of the players peaked Ascendant 2, and some of those players (as of September 2023) are hard stuck Diamond this act. I was wondering how a Gold player could frag substantially over even 1 or 2 Immortal players, but that's because these guys aren't even Immortal lmfao.
Again, I like the concept of these videos... but maybe you could try a little bit harder to find players that are ACTUALLY that rank. Kind of lame that you call hard stuck Diamond players with an old Ascendant PEAK 'Immortal' players.
I was also confused about a gold 3 fragging for 16 in an “immortal” lobby
theres only 2 immortals in that lobby, the raze and cypher. most are currently diamond or lower. ngl that makes way more sense why they did so "well" when basically everyone under immortal are all pretty bad at the game in one way or another.

i think it would be funny if for one of these vids, (ill use this idea as an example) where they say they deserve immo and then put them in a lobby of like plat or dia and tell them its immo and see if they can even notice they arent in an immo lobby. idk how it would work with ranks showing in the lobby and stuff, but it would still be funny if they bot frag in a rank only one or two above them and show just how out of place they are
tbh they lacked both aim and game sense, they have to understand killing isnt everything, as you are on inmo you are not the only one capable of killing so as they play asist roles they have to get way more game sense and star playing with the team not alone
I am not a sky main but the util usage was literally down bad. I mean its better to just quick peek and see if there is an enemy and then do a pop flash rather than hold an angle with you flash out waiting for the enemy to come. They had decent or above average aim ig but the util usage was pretty bad. I personally have really good gamesense and util usage but my aim kinda sucks.

Skye was not very good at gunfights, mediocre aim and bad movement. The kills he got didn't say much about his mechanics, most of his peeks were very insecure and bad. Still a bit better than average gold's so maybe he can get plat by playing reyna. Viper was shit with both his util and mechanics.

bro im so done with these people thinking they deserve higher then 2 ranks then they are, I made a smurf, got into gold, double ranked to g3, 1 game later doubled to plat 2, i got out of your bracket in 2 games, 2. and i boosted a friend who was silver2, and while they went to silver 2 to 3, i went from gold 1 to plat 2... see the difference? its not your teamates because when you win, and you will one game, if your ACTUALLLLLY good, you will double rank up. i calibrated my main into plat3, double ranked my main to diamond 2 and my hidden mmr is around Ascendant, im playing with around 2-4 immortals every game and rest acdendants. do you see the difference? your playing with silvers and golds and losing. blame yourself, the communication difference, aim difference, basic understanding is entirely different, and if you cannot rank out of silver, your not gonna be anything higher then diamond lol it took me 2 games on an alt, one day on my main to play with immortals, these guys are just saying they deserve it not knowing what any of it means. please if this is you, get over yourself lmao

this is an example of the most common reason why people doesn't have any progress in anything: blame everyone and don't have any self-criticism
Viper defense:
- No viper wall for hookah and b-long (which you can do from u-hall or hookah)
- Barely used molly for hookah tp
- (if they won't wall hookah/b-long) no wall for showers.
- Pistol round: didn't check minimap to see raze already pushed up, so viper left jett alone and played retake.
Viper attack:
- No wall for A-short.
- No wall + orb combo for A-short.
- No lurks for shower control.
Skye defense:
- Barely held b-long control.
- No dog for showers.
- No flashes for duelist to contest an area
Skye attack:
- Pistol round: Shift peeking hookah
- No dog for b-long
- Doging hookah while raze already used boombot for hookah
Like, don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing, I'm just saying, they are missing A LOT before they can be immortal 3, they just gotta practice more, watch more pro vods of the agent they are trying to main and implement that in their game. And the simple fact that viper blamed their team, while skye blamed themself already shows who is actually going to rank up.
PS: It takes a LONG time for u to be able to say "I can fill" in an immortal lobby. Hope they rank up 🙏.

what if someone thinks they deserve the rank of something but the lobby is full of one rank higher than the one suggested (if someone deserves immortal rank, and he/she is gold, the lobby that should be full of immortals is rather full of platinums)
