I have just purchased a massage chair, it has only been 6 days and I have never felt as good as I do. Living with FSHD, chronic pain is a common problem with the disease, the pain also limits my functional abilities, causes extreme fatigue, difficulty with mobility and more at risk of tripping and falling as any form of coordination rapidly decreases. I liked the reference to the endorphins and the benefits massage has with minimising pain. I have approximately two 45 min - 1hr massage twice sometimes three times a day and have felt like I am on cloud nine.
As a Massage Therapist myself, I definitely believe in the benefits and side effects of massage. In regard to flushing out toxins and drinking water, do that have to do more with dehydration? What is the so called drunk feeling people have after massage? Thanks
I got a massage once and I hated it. The massage was supposed to last an hour but I had to end it after just ten minutes because it irritated me so much.
Funny I search RUclips for more information on massages so I can give better massages to my girlfriend and I find a video from someone right in my hometown.
Only depends on how tense your body is and majority of the time it is going to be painful because of all the knots in your body but once that goes away you will definitely feel like you are floating on air.
Massage should feel good. At most it should feel like a "good hurt" but should never be painful. If it's painful, the therapist is using too much pressure or something else is going on and you should see a physical therapist to assess the issue.
I too just got off the massage table, I feel sooo relaxed. Relating to that description of drooling from relaxation 😂. Need to do this more often!
