However, I was able to play with two mods similar to the invasion mod. You should check them both out; they are the hostile worlds mod and the monster swarm mod. I recommend the monster swarm mod over the hostile worlds mod because the hostile worlds mod has a weird default setting where passive mobs like cows to even parrots will attack you as if they are hostile mobs, and I don't know how to change this setting yet. Also, if you wanna know two fun mods to play with the invasion mod, the tale of kingdoms mod plus the castle defenders mod run on the same version of forge.

Man, I remember years ago when I was looking for a mod exactly like this. Couldn't find anything satisfying, so I was just left to think and dream of a day where I could get to play something like it. Definitely gonna check this thing out! :D
Truly an essential mod for any playthrough, even if you don't build your own nation. It livens up your world with a multitude of different pois's and people, that it makes exploration way more enjoyable.
Also, wow this mod has changed a lot in just 2 years since I've last seen it. I really wish more people gave it a go. You did a really good showcase btw.
I think a great addition would be waves. That attack your base, completing each one gives you rewards. This would allow for a great base to be made and defence structures. Other factions should also be able to invade you Other players should also be able to make their faction
Other players can make their own faction using a command. I don't know the top of it off my head but you can search up "how to make a different team ancient warfare 2 minecraft mod"
@@kiro-fo9qg I know this is 2 month's old, but MC Eternal is not recommended if you wish to enjoy AW2's massive world gen. MC Eternal disables most of it and messes with how AW2 functions. Which is a shame, considering the amazing structures that AW2 has for Ice & Fire :(

Just intresting trivia: this mode is also part of crackpack 3, where the siege cart requires shulker boxes which more it so expensive that you would rather make collosal chests
this is a nicely made spotlight. But it's a shame you didn't go deeper into how massive this mod really is. People who know this from before draw their memory to the 1.7.10 version. It had a pitiful world gen structure. AW2 is a behemoth now. It has 2000 world gen structures. But unlike simpler mods like Chocolate Quest, AW2 needs to be configured right. This will scare away players as they just want to install a mod and play. If you don't change biome size to Large, you wont get those walled cities and towns. And if you don't add mods, some structures wont world gen or feel empty or spawn simple zombies inside them. Mods like Ice & Fire, AW2 has structures specifically with Dragons, Gorgons, Hydra, Trolls and the Undead built for them Mods like Future MC, where some AW2 structures uses the FM's furniture blocks inside their rooms and halls. Mods like Electroblob Wizardy, where AW2 has their own Wizard towers and even gives the Nation factions their own spellcasters who will use spells from that mod against the player. Biome mods like SpookyBiomes and Explorercraft, the former sets a specific biome for Undead and Vampire' structures to world gen on. Explorercraft mountains unlocks AW2's dwarven structures. The list goes on... AW2 is unique among minecraft mods in that it encourages players to add more mods to unlock it's fullest potential. No other mod that I know of does this. No other mod claims to be a Hub mod, to branch out to other mods to fulfill the experience. and I have yet to see a youtuber spotlight this 🤞

That sounds like it's definitely something that is overlooked, but a massive improvement if configured right If I were to go back to this video again, yea, I could definitely look at that, though I usually cover the core elements of the mod and leave the rest to discover (not to mention, I've got a tonne of other mods to showcase). Though, 2.5 years from this video, I feel like it could use some work. I have only been with the AW2 discord for maybe half a year, so I don't know how much has been added since your video. there are plans by the devs to branch out to more mods. Astral Sorcery, MoCreatures and Fossils&Archeology has been teased with structures, but they haven't released a build for the public yet. You could, if you wanted to revisit the mod, make a simple showcase by going into Creative mode and use the Structure Builder wand from AW2 creative tab. It allows you to select a world gen structure and set a ghost overlay of it. Letting you inspect it. For simplicity, you could demonstrate how many Empire structures there are when players don't have any mods. Then install something simple, like Rustic, then revisit the Creative mode and the Structure Builder wand to notice how many new structures unlocked with Rustic for the Empire. Then do it again with Electroblobs Wizardry This would be easier for you on the workload and teases the viewer how much more they can add that would unlock things. To reiterate; if the player runs only AW2 with zero mods and a Vanilla world, where the Biome sizes are set to Small, you will only get 25% of the 2000 world gen structures. Towns and Cities will not generate because of the biome sizes. If configured properly with mods, biome mods and Biome size to Large, the player will have an amazing world to discover and never want to visit any modded Dimensions.

2.7.0.772 was the latest version available when I made the video. Likewise, I'm not overly sure about any of the other new additions, beyond the new structures and what you mentioned. Those would be very interesting to play with those particular type of mods. Can definitely see how fun that sounds! Makes sense as to why it's best to run in the large biome preset. That would be epic if there was a modpack based off this!
Realistic Deaths has one this round! From I believe, this is a smaller mod compared to the last few that have been covered so it may be out sooner, but we'll have to wait and see!

In the ancient warfare 2 mod has one item an ancient coin. This coin says it’s from Minossa, there is also a phrase that says Sic transit gloria mundi. This is in latin and it translates to So the glory of the world. That is all I know comment down below if you know more.

I actually downloaded this mod recently and had no idea what I was doing. You did a good job explaining the important stuff. Amazing vid. One big problem I have is that I can't load the newer versions of the mod because CodeChicken Lib always causes a crash. Maybe I have the wrong version of 1.12.2 forge or something but I really don't see the problem. Only way I get it working is when I try older versions of the mod

offtopic suggestion for minecraft: they should make it so if you make a box of chains in a crafting table you make a spawner, and you can make chain armor with the chain item.

Pleased you enjoyed the video mate! The Npcs should be able to go to war in multiplayer as long as the players are not classified as allies in the team system in vanilla. Can't remember the exact video, but from what I recall, you may need to use the vanilla team system to mark players as allies or enemies I believe.

That was for me too when I started it up. Somewhere within the config, there's a section for adjusting the alignment for each faction, can't remember exactly what it's called but it should be easy to spot. Don't know why it's like that if it is by default
This mod back then was quite bland and not impressing. However nowadays it feels just as alive, amazing and dynamic as the Millenaire mod. *_10/10 would recommend if you want a RTS and city-building element in Minecraft._*

To get people in your village, you have to have researched the particular NPC you want and then you can craft them (for example, you need the conscription trait researched to craft a combat npc). In the ancient warfare 2 mod has one item an ancient coin. This coin says it’s from Minossa, there is also a phrase that says Sic transit gloria mundi. This is in latin and it translates to So the glory of the world. That is all I know comment down below if you know more.
Man... this is exactly what I need for my vanilla multiplayer where I had walls for the village! Sadly it is cracked so we cannot play this unless we play it on curseforge
Is there an automatic progression on this mod? Like the NPCs are responsible for their progress in terms of agricultural,military etc?
I actually downloaded this mod recently and had no idea what I was doing. You did a good job explaining the important stuff. Amazing vid. One big problem I have is that I can't load the newer versions of the mod because CodeChicken Lib always causes a crash. Maybe I have the wrong version of 1.12.2 forge or something but I really don't see the problem. Only way I get it working is when I try older versions of the mod

offtopic suggestion for minecraft: they should make it so if you make a box of chains in a crafting table you make a spawner, and you can make chain armor with the chain item.

Pleased you enjoyed the video mate! The Npcs should be able to go to war in multiplayer as long as the players are not classified as allies in the team system in vanilla. Can't remember the exact video, but from what I recall, you may need to use the vanilla team system to mark players as allies or enemies I believe.

i have a doubt, every single faction atacks me when i aproach them, are they all hostile until i do something? only a native house that sells wheat is the only one who didn't atacked me
That was for me too when I started it up. Somewhere within the config, there's a section for adjusting the alignment for each faction, can't remember exactly what it's called but it should be easy to spot. Don't know why it's like that if it is by default

This mod back then was quite bland and not impressing. However nowadays it feels just as alive, amazing and dynamic as the Millenaire mod.

To get people in your village, you have to have researched the particular NPC you want and then you can craft them (for example, you need the conscription trait researched to craft a combat npc). More info is explained at the 2:36 marker. Can't remember exactly a whole lot now, but the video should be able to help
