So I have the same ear thing- so much that when I was born the doctors suggested it to my parents to get the surgery! I get it… but don’t get the surgery. It’s the most painful plastic surgery. You are literally getting your ears cut and resewn to your head:( Now that I work in healthcare, I just think of all the things the ears help with (balance, hearing obviously, etc) and you could be messing with all of that! Plus you would be out of work, unable to work out, and $$! You are beautiful and truly the ears are just ears:)
Okay, this is coming from someone who was ALWAYS insecure about her nose. I had surgery when I was 20 years old, and I was so happy I did it. I’m 35 and I’m not gonna lie, even with the surgery and the change, I still sometimes feel like I’m ugly with the nose, like it could have been better. I’m saying this because I think it really isn’t about the physical way we look and it’s more about how we feel. There isn’t a wrong or right answer. This is your body, your life, you do what you want for you! ❤

Denman brush works great to separate curls/waves. My hair is very similar to yours (2A-2B) and the brush with a curl cream worked better than I could have imagined. I never want to spend a ton of time on my hair so I watched a few tutorials where you literally brush your hair in sections and then scrunch it. You can also wrap the hair around the brush handle but that’s too time consuming for me. My ears stick out too. It used to bother me a lot but now I have kids who share my ears and I never want to pass that insecurity to them. It makes you, you! You’re beautiful!

Hi Brooke! Quick hair tip I got my from hairdresser - use a curl gel/cream when your hair is still wet (straight out of the shower) and then put your hair up in a towel. Your hair will absorb the product first and your curl pattern will come out better! My tactic is to flip my hair and scrunch the curls upwards. I love Innersense or Pattern for my gels ! I also have similar hair to you & I promise they don’t leave a crunch ! Hope this is helpful xx

Everyone will tell you they never noticed your ears but as someone who had this same insecurity I completely understand. I had an otoplasty 10 months ago and I’m so glad I finally did it. You can do it under local anesthetic (meaning you’re awake) and it’s a lot more affordable. My ears are still a little sore after sleeping on them but I would totally do it again. Hope this helps! Only do surgery if it’s really for you, but don’t do it for the external world - the people that matter already love you just the way you are.

two things I’ve learned is that one: after every surgery/aesthetic thing you pay for we will still never be “happy” we will find something else to pick at and want to get done. the second thing is people will always have something to say, its your ears today and once you get them done there will be something else they’ll pick at and you’ll be in this cycle again. I am learning this now after hating how I looked for my whole life. I just wanted to say you’re beautiful, keep being you 💗

I have an auto immune disease that caused my to have a a scar on my face literally on my forehead and my nose is crooked because of it when I was younger the docs tried to have me get plastic surgery to get a “normal” nose. I never went thru with it and I’m so happy I didn’t I hope you find comfort in your own skin cause you are BEAUTIFUL. Having days when you’re tough on yourself is normal. ❤
BROOKE, omg I just came from Stephanie soo’s vlog (missmangobutt is her vlog channel) and she mentioned that Asian Idols (think kpop) are getting ear surgery to MAKE their ears come out more!!! They even sell tape to bring out your ears, since it makes your face appear smaller Once again, one of the cases of you want what you don’t have. But wow it’s just so interesting how on the other side of the world, their beauty trends can be so different!!

I had my ears done when I was in the fifth grade and it was truly life changing for me. I was obviously a child and I truly don't know how my mom let me do it + payed for it, but I constantly think that if I hadn't done it back then, my confidence would be so low today. It's true that you're the only one that notices and if other people comment on it it's really 100% on them and has nothing to do with you, but I also understand how something like that could just improve your quality of life. (Also in my case it was only one ear that was significantly bigger than the other so imagine 💀)

In all the time I’ve been watching your videos, I have never noticed your ears. I do not think you meed the surgery but if it will make you feel better, then go for it. I think you look beautiful just as you are. As a curly haired girlie, I always use my Dyson with the diffuser when I don’t want to let my hair dry naturally and it’s amazing. I use conditioner in the shower then put leave-in conditioner and gel in my wet hair before drying.

Brooke, I’m having the same issue with my under eye area to the point that it looks like my tear ducts were swollen and red and scaly. My eye doctor diagnosed it as contact dermatitis so there’s something I’m putting on that is not agreeing with me. I’ve never had this reaction until this year and you’re like the second other person I’ve seen this happened to. I’m trying to figure out what is causing it, she told me to go with CereVe or Cetaphil for a while but even then I don’t know what’s going to agree with my skin and what it isn’t. It would take a lot of time to try to sort out what is causing it. She said a dermatologist can do some testing, but I don’t want to spend the money for that.
I have the same ear type and truthfully i had to learn to love them which was so hard. I forced myself to wear my hair up and eventually i just got used to them. I pierced my cartilage and was afriad it would bring more attention but it actually made me feel better somehow, like i was making them feel cared for lol hang in there girl i totally get
I just wanted to say that I never noticed anything wrong with your ears until you mentioned it. And even when you were wearing your hair up I didn’t notice anything wrong. I think you look great with your hair up too. But that being said I know what it’s like to feel insecure about something you don’t like about yourself. I have struggled with insecurity about things I don’t like about myself since my teens. And if I would have the ability to fix them to feel better about myself I would. So just do what makes you feel good and don’t let others judge you.
No one is looking and judging your ears besides you. It’s who you are! There is no right or wrong way to look. Your ears make you who you are.

i’m having the eye eczema right now too!! vaseline seems to be the only thing that helps. mine is all over my eyelid it looks like eyeshadow

two things I’ve learned is that one: after every surgery/aesthetic thing you pay for we will still never be “happy” we will find something else to pick at and want to get done. the second thing is people will always have something to say, its your ears today and once you get them done there will be something else they’ll pick at and you’ll be in this cycle again. I am learning this now after hating how I looked for my whole life. I just wanted to say you’re beautiful, keep being you 💗
Brooke let me just say… you’re beautiful, a badass and so much fun! If people are cyber bullies they’d probably never say these things to you in person, so they don’t matter. Don’t give them any recognition. You’re doing everything you need to. When you do your hair try braiding it before bed and using a silk scarf and it will help to protect your hair. Keep pushing on. ❤❤❤

You are so gorgeous! I get that we are our biggest critics but I really hope you reconsider getting your ears pinned cause of what others say. I have an auto immune disease that caused my to have a a scar on my face literally on my forehead and my nose is crooked because of it when I was younger the docs tried to have me get plastic surgery to get a “normal” nose. I never went thru with it and I’m so happy I didn’t I hope you find comfort in your own skin cause you are BEAUTIFUL. Having days when you’re tough on yourself is normal. ❤
BROOKE, omg I just came from Stephanie soo’s vlog (missmangobutt is her vlog channel) and she mentioned that Asian Idols (think kpop) are getting ear surgery to MAKE their ears come out more!!! They even sell tape to bring out your ears, since it makes your face appear smaller

Omg same thing happened to me with me eczema & now I literally have a wrinkly eyelid & under eye! I can’t get in with a dermatologist till end of February 😩

I had my ears done when I was in the fifth grade and it was truly life changing for me. I was obviously a child and I truly don't know how my mom let me do it + payed for it, but I constantly think that if I hadn't done it back then, my confidence would be so low today. It's true that you're the only one that notices and if other people comment on it it's really 100% on them and has nothing to do with you, but I also understand how something like that could just improve your quality of life. (Also in my case it was only one ear that was significantly bigger than the other so imagine 💀)

I feel that since you are always seeing yourself on camera you can develop body insecurity but I hope you take some time to sit and think about the surgery before doing anything to your beautiful face! In all the time I’ve been watching your videos, I have never noticed your ears. I do not think you meed the surgery but if it will make you feel better, then go for it. I think you look beautiful just as you are. As a curly haired girlie, I always use my Dyson with the diffuser when I don’t want to let my hair dry naturally and it’s amazing. I use conditioner in the shower then put leave-in conditioner and gel in my wet hair before drying.

Brooke, I’m having the same issue with my under eye area to the point that it looks like my tear ducts were swollen and red and scaly. My eye doctor diagnosed it as contact dermatitis so there’s something I’m putting on that is not agreeing with me. I’ve never had this reaction until this year and you’re like the second other person I’ve seen this happened to. I’m trying to figure out what is causing it, she told me to go with CereVe or Cetaphil for a while but even then I don’t know what’s going to agree with my skin and what it isn’t. It would take a lot of time to try to sort out what is causing it. She said a dermatologist can do some testing, but I don’t want to spend the money for that.

I have the same ear type and truthfully i had to learn to love them which was so hard. I forced myself to wear my hair up and eventually i just got used to them. I pierced my cartilage and was afriad it would bring more attention but it actually made me feel better somehow, like i was making them feel cared for lol hang in there girl i totally get

I just wanted to say that I never noticed anything wrong with your ears until you mentioned it. And even when you were wearing your hair up I didn’t notice anything wrong. I think you look great with your hair up too. But that being said I know what it’s like to feel insecure about something you don’t like about yourself. I have struggled with insecurity about things I don’t like about myself since my teens. And if I would have the ability to fix them to feel better about myself I would. So just do what makes you feel good and don’t let others judge you.
