Hi everyone, I couldn't find where to purchase the Bugs 8 at the time of this review. It was sent to me directly from MJX for review. Apparently it's the same drone as the Bugs 6 with just a different top cover here goo.gl/qUGYc4
The bugs 8 is the retail version of the bugs 6, sold as a package that includes drone, screen, camera and goggles, not sold online. The bugs 6 is the online version sold in different configurations, "drone alone with no camera", "drone with camera", "drone with camera and screen", and "drone with camera screen and goggles". The goggles can be bought separately from the MJX eBay store.

Hi Dustin, spot on review as usual, MJX value again. Ive got the Bugs 3 and the MJX Hex you reviewed a while back, both which I added FPV. The MJX gear is tough and the crossover between toy and hobby grade adds up to more relaxed low cost fun flying.

Great video Dustin: My thoughts: Looks like a great little introductory FPV quad for beginners. The flight time seems a tad wanting [the bugs2 GPS quad gives you a solid 14 minutes] and I realize that the power draw from the display may be a mitigating factor. Anyways if the flight time matched the bugs 2 it would be a 5 for 5 knock out. At 124.00 dollars I say it is worth it. Again great review.

Well, I was just watching your channel so I could decide what beginner drone to get, but..I'm already waiting for Banggood to deliver my Visuo. But now I can't stop watching..I actually love your channel. You go very indepth, and you break up your reviews into different sections instead of doing separate unboxing or test flight videos. Dude! Great review! You thought of everything!...except re-arming mid-air. Kidding that's just crazy-thinking. This quad does it all and I think I'll get this one cause it's not psycho fast and is very reasonably priced-goggles, screen and basic audible telemetry.
You must be flying -really- dangerously close to get this thing fullscreen with a wide angle camera omg 23:2623:37 The dangers you endure just to make a good review for us! lol....thumbs up! Although it's a completely different craft I recognize the same smoothness and wobble from my old XK X251.

Hey Dustin, Have the kids tried flying this one yet? I bought my 2 boys(ages 8 and 13) an Alien xk250 to learn with. My youngest struggles with it sometimes, starting to think I shoulda bought him something with altitude hold....he does really well for his age though.

I agree with you that this is a very nice package, with lots of excellent features. but I'm not sure if you got the pricing correct... on GB it's $164 for the FPV version and $174 for the goggles version. still not bad for what you're getting, but not the happy 100-ish price point. anyway, nice thorough review! 👍

no one seems to try or mention the inverted flight that this quad can do, you seem to have put it into inverted mode by accident when you put the throttle stick to the bottom after you punched it , it inverted but you thought it was the wind.cheers.
what exactly do you mean? im a noob. i remember the part where the throttle stick part and the drone fliped, but then what can you do some stunts of sorts or really cool dive bomb! lol

I wouldn't mind paying 10-20$ more for better joysticks. I'm not a fan of the whole ball rather than it being spit into a horizontal section (helps me to not touch the throttle by adding that ever so slight friction

Robert Skillings that video from the sailors was their fault they got dirt stuck on the motor sadly they only posted on their social media page that faster they took the rock out it flew again

Dustin Dunnill yeah it is a little, also seems that the camera, monitor and goggles are extras/ coming soon. MJX this is not clear- it looks like Dustin the 6 is basic without these extras and the 8 has them and I think that's the difference. +1975supermike Cheaper the FPV equipment the more breakup you'll get. More expensive antennas and RX/TX equipment will fair better but analog FPV will still have more fuzzies and breakup than digital.
Boy I have been really ragging on mJX these last few month's because of %90 of all bugs 3 replacement parts are criticaly defective, and I was under empressed with the bugs 6 when it first arrived, mostly because of the props, and the all in one esc board. But I have to credit when it is do. mJX MADE A great little brushless unit with this bird. This bird with bugs 2 props and no camera is a great, strong, reliable unit with decent speed and range, It would have been perfect if this bird had of come out at the very same time jjrc released there first brushless the X1 shittle!

Dustin Dunnill i bet it's the same, they just did some color changed and frame change + camera. Buy a tx30 to tx60 adapter, run a 3s 1300mAh and get a set of three leafs because you'll probably get the fuggly unstable oscillations with a two prop switching to a 3s. I'm gonna probably pick one of these up to play with it. I'm just starting acro, so this would be a good progressive flyer to add to the mix! Awesome channel, good content. think this cam is way to dark for flyin. you didn't see details of anything and because of this it's unusable! it's a good bang for the bugs but you have to change the cam!!!
lgrip1 lgrip1 sorry that appended but really man, the Bugs 3 in my opinion is one of the best quads made to date (on his category, toy/hobby grade)... they probably send you a faulty one, mine is flying around for months, I've crashed a couple of times and no problems so far... great quad...

The more blades usually equates to less efficiency but more power depending on blade bite.

Is all fpv that poor quality or just on this ??. Also mjx are doing a new bugs 250 carbon fibre can you keep an eye out for it ?.

When you say 5.8 ghz is that WiFi?.... like will any fpv that can work with phone WiFi also work on one of these lcd or goggles?
This is 5.8ghz analog FPV signal, not wifi digital so only works with analog receiver which is in this goggle kit.

Redcat is a much more powerful and dangerous race drone which requires a bit more skill.
do u recomed i buy diffrent goggles than the ones that come with it ..because ive beenlooking at the eachine ev 800 ds...for 90 bucks

Not sure. MJX confused me as well. I couldn't find where to purchase the Bugs 8 at the time of this review. Apparently it's the same drone as the Bugs 6 with just a different top cover goo.gl/qUGYc4 I like the bugs 6 top better anyway. Not sure what MJX is doing with these 2 quads. Kind of a confusing marketing strategy

think this cam is way to dark for flyin. you didn't see details of anything and because of this it's unusable! it's a good bang for the bugs but you have to change the cam!!!
+Toni L it was evening as I mentioned in the review which is not a good time to fly anything FPV due to cam getting dark because of sun orientation.

lgrip1 lgrip1 sorry that appended but really man, the Bugs 3 in my opinion is one of the best quads made to date (on his category, toy/hobby grade)... they probably send you a faulty one, mine is flying around for months, I've crashed a couple of times and no problems so far... great quad...
