- We finally made it home!
It was a long Matatu ride from Nairobi but it was all worth it when we were reunited with Juju and Ntagu in Meru.
The next morning we saw our home that we’ve been building from abroad for the very first time!
We are happy to be home and are settling in.
Thanks for watching! 🇰🇪❤️
Hey friends! Keep your eye out on my instagram stories/ saved highlights tomorrow for some more details on the house building process.. info about contractor etc.
many of you have been asking and I feel like this will be the best way to relay the info!
My instagram is @mekenze_in_ Kenya
Thanks so much! ❤️
Sorry most of us are not on IG
Say it again! 'Jūjū' and 'Ntagu'

Hello! I have been a follower. But just trying my shot. Can I light up your home with some of our beautiful solar products🙏
I was called to do the Exterior textured paint of that house, how beautiful it came out
Your husband couldn't say much, but you can feel how happy he is to have brought his family back to his roots and have a house/ place to call home.... welcome to Kenya Mackenzie. You have a beautiful family,I love how humble you are.
He is look like a quite person

Isn't it interesting how Africans will welcome Mzungus with open arms into Africa, but Mzungus will never welcome Africans into their countries like this. Instead they look forward to Africans returning to their countries. Smh.
Meru, Kikuyu and Embu men don't talk much. We let actions speak for us.

Wow 😯 this family is very lucky to have good people back to build such a beautiful house 🏠 for them
I know right.... and take care of the home too... real LUCK!
@@genevievegk Absolutely, it’s hard to get good people like this knowing how much corrupt some family members could be squandering others hard earned money. This good man deserves a great deal of gratitude from his brother and wife. I respect ✊🏾 him
True story so lucky lol
Truth!!
To have good people back to build such a beautiful house, you just need to fast 177 days.
Hi McKenzie , Welcome to Meru Kenya. My wife is Meru and we recently visited Kenya and my kids enjoyed Kenya a lot . They keep talking about Ntagu and guka. Your story inspires a lot about going back home one day. We live in Seattle WA.
Am a Kenyan living in the US, and I am both jealous, and inspired. Good for you guys.
The best jealousy,I know you can do it,your dream is valid
Why it's your country u can go anytime
First, Kenya is one of the few countries that uses a Christian (edit: many have clarified in the comments that is a Kenyan prayer) hymn as its national anthem. Which came as a surprise to me. Second, as one who is Indian in origin, the influence of India on Kenya was also quite surprising. Chapati, Samosa, Bhaji... I could not believe my ears when this Kenyan pastor's kids were referring to their food with Indian words. Turns out, we a lot more in common than meets the eye! We both love Kenya, and I hope to visit Kenya. Soon, I pray!
Edit: Thanks to all who clarified that the Kenyan national anthem is not a Christian hymn, but rather a Kenyan prayer. But, it inspires, never the less.
All the restaurants in Kenya seem to be ran by the South Asians that Idi Amin kicked out of our neighbours to the north in Uganda.
Chai, Dunia
@@mamawatorotalks8208 chai=tea
Dunia=world
Our national anthem is actually a prayer the words of which were locally composed and the tune is from a local traditional song.

We love you Makenzie , I just love the way you've accepted the Life in rural Kenya with time you'll get used to and your home and compound will be amazingly beautiful

How do you move from your country to this shithole
We Love you Luzuka, feel at home.
I am JEALOUS! I was born in one Caribbean country, married a girl from another Caribbean country, lived in both places for some time, and we now live in the USA. We have been to Ghana and Tanzania, and I have been to Liberia. Videos of almost anywhere in Africa make me HOMESICK and JEALOUS!!! It looks and feels and connects like HOME. Forget "diaspora"; I'm in "exile"! Sigh.
Home is where the most 🤎 is 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
How could you visit TZ and skip Kenya😛
