  • Entrepreneur Scott Britton talks about the ayahuasca trip which left him dealing with a four-year kundalini awakening experience, that totally up-ended and transformed his life.
This video is part of my deep dive into kundalini awakenings, what they can be like and the different ways people make sense of them, and cope with them. More here: www.ecstaticintegration.org/

Thank you for this frank interview. I would add that as well as having physical 'symptoms' brought up to confront us with aspects of ourselves that need attention, it seems to me (from my experience) that apparently bizarre mental experiences can be brought up, too. I think Scott said at times it felt like he was on a psychedelic during kundalini activation - maybe he was referring to this. I have found different 'narratives' would play out over a period of weeks or months, which I have come to understand as complexes lodged in my chakras being activated. I also recognise the deep longing to merge with the divine Scott describes, and the talking with, and in my case sense of total surrender to, what seems like a self-directed force that is not me. I sometimes feel frightened by that (like - is it safe/good?), but thankfully in my day-time hours my thinking and sense of self are 'normal' again, and at times, as well as being physically strenuous and exhausting, the surrender is also utterly blissful, like being held and 'fed' in the most intimate and total way. Thanks again for your sharing.

Thank You Jules, You are only public person I know that is really honest about psychedelic experiences. You try to show all aspects of it and expose that there are no easy answers.

This was a helpful video. As someone who is also going through this process. If I could add one tidbit that wasn’t talked much in this great dialogue of the process. As an entrepreneur myself, I find relationships to be hard enough without such a life event. But having such an awakening will likely change the chemistry of your intimate relationships. The experiment testing women on vs off hormone contraception like the pill disrupted the natural mate selection process . Once off the pill a woman would regain her natural pheromone disposition that would result in having a dislike of her chosen partner. I wonder if the process of an awakening chemically alters a person too. And Therefor I am thankful I’m single going through this experience vs. experiencing a overhaul like mentioned by your guest.

Hi Jules, I really appreciate this video and the intriguing insights that Scott shared about his Kundalini experience. It's fascinating how diverse world views and mythos play a significant role in helping people make sense of these mystical and spiritual encounters. Scott's use of the language of New Age spirituality, with its concepts like "old souls," "enlightenment," "evolution," and "karma," adds a layer of depth to the discussion.
I had a truly unusual experience myself, back before meeting my ex-girlfriend. I had once seen her from a distance in college, 'cause I thought she was beautiful, and during a meditation session, I witnessed a vivid image that felt more real than our ordinary reality. It was the two of us having a child. The uncanny part is, about a week later, she approached me, to meet me, visibly nervous, asking if she could talk to me. This odd coincidence eventually led to a friendship, and she later revealed that she had experienced the same exact vision. Quite a surreal connection, I must say.
Many years down the road, we tried a romantic relationship, but our personalities turned out to be vastly different and incompatible. What intrigues me is the divergent ways we interpreted this shared experience. She embraced the New Age spiritual worldview, using its language and concepts to frame the encounter, while now I find myself more aligned with a Vervaekeian 4E cognitive science perspective. It's incredible how the lens through which we view such events can influence our understanding and meaning-making. Thanks again for the thought-provoking video!

Calming down K… yet my K does pranayama ALLLLLL day. Like 70 percent of the day I have K hyperventilation Kriyas next to the mudras and light language and what not. For me activation seems what I need because I’ve been in collapse trauma response.

Enjoyable discussion - yes agree with misguided marketing - so western, acquisitive and misguided as kundalini is a profound process to transform consciousness from limited ego identity to pure consciousness.
    Not to be taken lightly.

am afraid, after OP mentioned a certain bodily fluid, had to eject off this flight. however, due to lack of supply, decided that, although boundaries r being transgressed, I might have to 'stomach' the rest of the interview. (oh hang on, got it now, perhaps OP's referring to the need to 'disseminate', in the need to 'spread information' sense??? I'll let that one pass.) however, if OP's enquiring bout whether that 'emission' was involved in my 'coercive' memory, I answer yes, and should there be a follow-up question, the answer wd be in the negative. btw, for next vlog, cd you consider how scott peck's peace-keeping suggestion, to do a first-thing, 5-minute (?), emotions-share, 'regurgitation', is incompatible, perhaps, with the secretive, and covertly exploitative, market economy? i am working on sharing without making my boundaries fuzzy, however, isn't 'sharing' incompatible with the number one duty, it appears, of 'EARNING'? (grateful for the ability to 'edit', RUclips! : ) )
