48:38 Higher the doping level ,then small will be the width of depletion layer. Because DOPING is the process of adding impurities to intrinsic semiconductors to alter their properties. And depletion region is the ionic region which do not contain free charge carrier, but it contains ions. The ionic/depletion region is actually generated due to recombination of electrons and holes from N and P-side respectively. Due to recombination, positive ions are generated on N-side and negative ions are generated on p-side. Now higher the doping level means higher will be the concentration of electrons in N-side and holes in p-side. This higher concentration of electrons in N-side will easily neutralize the positive side/part of depletion width which is actually created in N-side. And holes will do the same thing from other side of depletion region. So due to higher doping character the electrons and holes will easily neutralize the ionic region because of their higher concentrations. So in this way ionic/depletion region get shortened and shortened.

      @@giai3444
The width of a depletion region depends on the concentration of impurities. The depletion region is an insulating area in a semiconductor material where mobile charge carriers have been pushed away by an electric field. When a small number of impurities are added to a p-n junction diode, a wide depletion region is formed. This is because impurities are atoms introduced into the semiconductor to increase electrical conductivity.

When we add large impurity in a semiconductor then no of free electrons in ntype and no of holes in p type increases
The free electrons in n type repel each other and shift it to the side of positive ions and neutralise the positive ions of depletion barrier and in same manner the positive charge neutralise the negative ions of barrier.
As a result it reduces the ions and hence the depletion region decreases
Similarly when the semiconductor is lightly doped ,the depletion region increases
