  • Bok! If you want to learn Croatian, in this video I will show you how to ask HOW ARE YOU in the Croatian language, and how to ANSWER that question.
I have been teaching Croatian for English and Spanish speakers for several years, and through that experience have created a simple, fun, and effective way of learning the language, for children, as well as for adults.
Languages are important and they are one of my passions, so I really enjoy teaching and sharing that knowledge. That is also the reason why I include a short Croatian lesson in most of my RUclips videos, so feel free to binge-watch them to learn some new Croatian words and expressions.

I’m 75 and my family doctor is from Croatia. He has been taking care of me of 10+ years and I believe he has saved me keeping me healthy. I don’t have anyone that would leave something’s I have that I know he would appreciate. The kids can have the property and money but he will get something closer to me. I’m going to try to learn some simple greetings for now and he will receive the other later when I’m gone.

Very instructive and clear, Thank you ,Sanda, for putting so much time and effort into making this videos. In a few days I'm going to Crna Gora and hope to be able to use the expressions in your video ( in my understanding the lab=nguage that you teach is also used in that region).
Question: How do you ask "how about you?", Example: Kako ste?- Ya sam tako tako, " how about you?( or any other variation, most common in crnogorski lnaguage?

Hello Sanda, indeed I knew the basic words in Croatian (one or another greeting) because it is what my grandmother used to speak to my father sometimes and also other typical phrases that I read in some novels written by Nicolás Mihovilović, the most famous is called "Desde Lejos Para Siempre" which is a very famous and nostalgic novel from here, since it tells the life of the Croatian colony in Punta Arenas who arrived in a distant land in Patagonia never to return to their country, the other called "In the last sea of the world" that tells the adventures of three Croatian sailors as immigrants in the waters of the Strait of Magellan and the channels of southern Chile. However, I have learned much more with your videos and with the basic class pack that I bought from you.

I am actually reading a book at the moment called Un viaje sin retorno, Brač - Punta Arenas - Cien años de migración y exilio, escrito por Marco Barticevic Sapunar, about that, as well. I am glad to have been able to help you with learning some Croatian!
