It's ironic that you posted this a couple of days after I finally gave up on my dream. I spent four years writing my novel. I asked friends, family, and members of my online writer's group for feedback. Every time, it was the same thing. They'd offer to read it and promise to give me their thoughts on it, but then nothing would ever come of it. If the people who are closest to me can't be bothered to read my book, why would a stranger? I've wanted to be an author since I was 8 years old, but there's no point in continuing. I'm sorry for dumping this on whoever reads this, but I needed to get it off my chest.
I´m proud of you for saying all of that. I understand why you gave up but it's never too late to pick it up again. I would love to read your novel, especially since I have wrote a bit myself. And I´m not saying it to say it, I´m saying it cause I mean it. I also have a Discord server and there are some people who also want to me a writer, they have even shared it with everyone there. They asked for feedback and they got it. So if you want you could give it a shot there. I already know one there who would read it.
Thank you, I am feeling so lonely right now, I have noone to talk to, I feel like there is no sense in living, because I just dont have any bright future, I look at other people, who are comforted and not alone and just... Just envy them.. I have maladaptive daydreaming, uncomfirmed adhd and uncomfirmed bipolar disorder.. Thank you for help, I truly need those comfort and help right now❤
