I love the dual meaning to the 'every species had their pride' line. Because yeah, that would be humanity's pride showing. "We get it done no matter what." is a perfectly fine bragging hat after all.
Side note: I really like that description "Try to define it, and it undefines reality around it."
Also "Nobody ever suspects the gift shop." is going into my memory to use in something later.
I can't help but imagine that down the line...
"You turned eldritch horrors into office assistants?"
"We didn't change them, we offered them something nice, (cat videos mainly to be sure but still nice.) and they tamed themselves. Claiming them as 'artificial intelligences' just covers up for the mistakes they make in how reality works, or is supposed to work, or isn't supposed to work. I imagine it's a bit like how we ended up with Dogs and especially Cats. Also, to be fair to them, often their 'hallucinated' answers are true, in some other timeline or dimension, or might have once been true before a timeline shift. They're really trying, you know?"

The ironic part about cats you make a reference about is that we never came to cats cats actually tamed themselves😅

In a funny way, it would make sense for how the SCP as a setting would fit within a larger sci-fi universe.

@@philmycrevice3536 A _-tan is the anime personification of a produc. Every popular operating system has an OS-tan, including Win ME. (Which was the OS I used until vista came out and I was given the XP disk as a hand-me-down.)

From the description of this channel: "Epic Storytelling: Experience tales of distant worlds, time travel, advanced technologies, and encounters with alien civilizations that will leave you pondering long after the video ends."
Well yes... It leaves me pondering long after the video ends, but not on the epic story that was presented, but on what the hell did I just watch... Is the story AI generated? It must be, because it's perfect English, and kinda entertaining, but the author (whoever or rather whatever it is) seems to have no understanding what so ever of humans which also makes it confusing... The story sounds like someone gave a short prompt to an LLM and published it as is. eg. Write a story about "When an alien archaeological team discovers an ancient vault on a dead world, they uncover a terrifying truth about humanity's role in the universe. What if Earth wasn't a primitive planet that needed to be contained... but instead was containing something far worse?"(which is a quote from the video description)
I'm not against AI btw, I use it too and wrote my own AI software in fact using both OpenAI and DeepSeek APIs, but man if you're writing stories... give it a bit more thought! This seems as low effort as it gets.
