    I grew up loving the Isetta and did see some around many years ago. Now you see them at car shows or on E-Bay and they are worth a lot of money. I love the idea of an updated electric version .(the Microlino) The future is in green, electric vehicles. Hopefully you will be able to get the Microlino to to meet U.S. requirements. It would fit my needs perfectly. It's different, practical,very cool and green. Good luck! John

    The two Microlino cars in the front are very cute. 1 hour of charging would be at a charging station, while 4 hours of charging would be at home. A garage can fit two Microlino cars.

    I like that it’s pitched as a mid point between bikes and cars. It is far superior to all the similarly pitched designs or models that have side doors and single or tandem seating.
    EUR 12,000 seems a lot. It would be interesting to know what it would cost for genuine mass production.

    Just notized this video and it was great to learn even more of the story behind this fantastic concept. I have reserved and configured mine, but after going to IAA 2019 and seeing the Caro from Atega I must admit I like the Karo's design even better. So situation now is I have a reservation for both. I am offcourse very sorry for the situation with Atega, and hope you find a solution that is good for both parties. Then to one thing that I would really like you to consider: Its how the car drives. Too many car builders wish to simulate a petrol engine, meaning the cars asselerator. I believe this system is better for EV's:
    - Drivability: From your video's I expect this to be good, but I would like to mention one function I really love in EV's and that not to many understand the beauty of. We call it Sailing, ore more specific: Auto Sailing.
    I learned to love this function from my Siemens propelled Norwegian build Think A206 cars and it works as explained below:
    Accelerator gives 0-100% power, but no regeneration. If released car simply sails without using ore regenerating power.
    If brake pedal is touched, car enters regeneration level 1, and if brake is held down you are into regen level 2 ( Double power ) In regen 1 you may adjust regen 1 level with accelerator down to 0 regen, but above that you are back to Autosailing mode.
    - Auto regen is also incorporated into this system. (I think this is, ore was a Siemens patented function) This works as follows:
    If accelerator is released just before a down hill, controller will automatically enter regeneration if speed increases by more than 5 km/hr down same hill. This is perfect system for down hill driving, as regen automatically adjusts level and keeps speed steady.
    Both these functions is based on clever programming of motor drive, and needs no extra switches. It is also intuitive to driver, and encourages more safe and relaxed driving, and saves energy. '
    Feel free to contact me for more info, ore visit me for test drive of such a system. One tried, you are bitten.
    VW EV cars use auto sailing, but not auto regen, and this is why I bought an e-Up instead of a BMW i3 that has the opposite and in my opinion hated system of socalled one pedal driving. ( Acceleration and braking on accerator pedal ) On BMW there is no choice, and on VW there is choice to use D for Autosailing ore B for One pedal.
    Please consider this carefully, and at least offer some kind of means to eliminate regen on accelerator pedal. On my Cree SAM there is a switch to turn regen of. ( Actually as a safety feature for slippery roads )

    I sincerely applaud your project. I have a problem with Smart car owners who park end-on to pavements in the style of a Microlino, as they are longer and protrude our beyond other parked cars and into the traffic - see my Facebook page “Smart Car - Stupid driver”. On a safety note, parking nose-on to the kerb to exit straight onto the pavement means you then have to reverse out into the road, into traffic. Reversing in this way can be dangerous due to the blind spots created either side by other parked vehicles, large vans in particular, so have you fitted reversing cameras showing traffic approaching from the left and right?

    • @microlino_official
      @microlino_official  6 лет назад

      Thanks John:) No there won't be any reverse cameras. You are right we do not recommend you to park nose-on to the kerb on a very busy streets but normally this shouldn't be a problem. You can always park the Microlino the other way around but then you have to be careful getting out as well.

    The dash display to the side is terrible placement and I whilst I understand not including navigation...my phone battery and data are drained if I use it as my primary satnav so it would've been a nice option.

      Well for us the decision was pretty easy not to include the navigation because after 1 or 2 years the maps are already outdated. We will also include a USB port so that you can charge your phone in case it runs out of battery.

    It's similar to the old BMW isetta.
    An excellent concept for an urban vehicle.
    Unfortunately, it has never been much loved by people.
    Now the fashion is to build and develop SUVs.

    Ich kann leider mich nicht begeistern über Microlino. Ich habe ein Tazzari SE gehabt und es war wirklich schrecklich wie es nich Lebensdauer war. Also Stossdämpfer alle 10‘000km zu wechseln, Getriebe nach 30‘000km ausbauen weil Lagern kaputt waren. Dann BMS hat sein Geist gegeben bei 45‘000km das es dann eine Zelle die Batterie tötete. Bremsen waren auch katastrophal schlecht gedenkt. Handbremse auch nich Winter und Gewitter fest. Ich war nicht der einzige der die gleiche Problem an die gleiche km gehabt habe.
    Also Ich war in Zürich zu Premiere und habe Stossdämpfern gesehen und die sind wie auf Tazzari baugleich.
    Und Microlino wie es präsentiert war sieht also nich Winter und Gewitterfest. Es gab Zuviel Raum wo es Wasser und Schmutz sich zu einfach Gehen kann. Also bitte lieber noch 6 Monaten stark und härter testen...
    Ich möchte mir so gerne eine kaufen aber noch nicht so wie es ist.

    • @microlino_official
      @microlino_official  6 лет назад +1

      Schade! Aber dazu ist folgendes zu sagen: 1. Tazzari hat seine ersten Fahrzeuge 2009 auf den Markt gebracht, also zu einer Zeit wo es neben dem Tesla Roadster nicht viele andere Elektroautos gab und erst recht nicht in dieser Preisklasse. In den letzten 9 Jahren seit Markteinführung haben sie sich in allen Belangen massiv verbessert. 2. Es ist wichtig zu verstehen, dass dies eine Vorserie ist. Selbstverständlich werden wir kein Fahrzeug ausliefern, bei dem Wasser reintropft, das wäre ja ein Super-Gau. Das sind jetzt eben diese 10% die wir noch feintunen und anpassen müssen bis zum Serienstart. 3. Getriebe ist nicht das gleiche und Stossdämpfer werden wir in Zukunft auch andere verwenden.
      Auf jeden Fall sind wir zuversichtlich, dass du nochmals positiv überrascht sein wirst, sobald das Fahrzeug dann serienreif ist :)

      Ich bin sicher das Sie alles gut machen. Ihr Team ist übermotiviert und das macht riesig Spass zu sehen. Nur wollte Ich sagen was ich gesehen habe. Ich will immer noch ein Microlino kaufen und dafür bin Ich auch motiviert. Danke für Antwort das zeigt auch das Sie sehr offen sind über konstruktiv Kritiken. Ich sagte das weil Ich sicher auch eine top Microlino fahren will. Und es in mein garage parkieren will neben mein Sam EVII und mein Horlacher GL88. Also bin schon über 150‘000km gefahren mit meine verschiedene Elektroautos. (Fiat Panda Elektra, Sam EVII, QVRone, Elio Ego,Tazzari SE, Peugeot iOn, 2er Sam EVII, Horlacher GL88 )
      Ich wünsche Ihnen alles bestens und sicher bis bald ;)

      The US have completely different regulations than we have in Europe. This means that we would have to modify some parts in order to get the Microlino street legal in the US. We will definitely tackle the challenge once we have the first feedback from the european market.

    You will probably won't like my critical comments, but here it goes: You guys have done a disservice to the original Isetta. With your 50's nostalgia, your passion for Steve Jobs, the irrelevance of showing your "Apple" laptop -guessing your perverse way of showing you all are hip and cool- Your logo above Apple's logo? REALLY? COME ON! Microlino has completely missed the concept of an "Intelligent Car", it has missed the fundamental "form and function" for the human body that didn't exist back in the 50's Isetta, so good luck for any woman getting in and out of the Microlino. Are you aware that women drive? Any proportion of women in your design team? It has absolutely no AI integrated what so ever! So what do I get for 12K Euros? a 70 year old Isetta? Sorry... and not that I'm a huge fan of MIT, but you have a lot to learn from Hiriko. Lastly, choose your English words carefully, because I seriously doubt you have "Enemies" trying to steal your precious "Microlino" but in this awesome global world, you have some serious COMPETITORS. Steve Jobs has passed away, but here is a quote from Mark Zuckerber: "In a world that's changing really quickly. The only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks"

    • @microlino_official
      @microlino_official  6 лет назад +1

      Dear Gennaro, we are always open for criticism as long as it is supported by facts and not assumptions. Reading your comment, I was not sure if you just don't know how to give constructive feedback because nobody has taught you or you just want to be an A** (Sorry for my language). I hope it`s my first guess and I will try to answer your questions accordingly.
      Yes we are aware that women drive and by the way around 40% of our reservations come from women. The Microlino is around 15% bigger than an Isetta or Heinkel to improve the comfort and making it easier to get in and out of the car. I invite you to have a seat and give me your thoughts! You are right the Microlino doesn't have AI but what is AI worth when you can't find a parking spot because your car is way to oversized. Because of its compact size the microlino can be crossparked and uses 2/3 less space.
      Good quote i like that one! Exactly that is why we are developing the microlino because all the known car manufacturers build bigger and bigger cars and don't dare to do something new!
      I hope I could change your views on us a little bit.

    • @dankom1310
      @dankom1310 6 лет назад +1

      Dear Microlino, I was TAUGHT VERY WELL AT MY UNIVERSITY HOW TO GIVE AND ACCEPT CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. FEEDBACK IS FOR CANDY SPEECHES. Did you miss "Debates" in school? Any chance you would know anything about "Critical Thinking" and not confuse that with being an A**? I'm not arguing "SIZE" but to completely ignore AI is absolutely absurd! If you really want to bring the Isetta into the 21st century, then take a risk and do it the right way. And BTW... instead of adding yet another piece of transportation like a "Scooter", how about adding a good pair of walking shoes? We could get our asses moving a bit more, wouldn't you agree? I would absolutely test drive the "Microlino"... perhaps when I sense less condescending attitude in your company, feel like a "Fetus", and want to drive an egg with three wheels. CHEERS!

    • @microlino_official
      @microlino_official  6 лет назад +1

      Well atleast we are agreeing on something, that criticism is good! ;) However, making an autonomous car was not our goal at this stage, as the technology is still too far away and there are many of the top players involved already, spending billions of dollars for development. But hey, you are free to make those perfect walking shoes or that autonomous car ;). Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg didn't get rich and successful by only talking about stuff on youtube, but merely doing them...
