    I have two of these for years now and they are still up and running. The one is almost completely stock version , except the shocks and tires , but the second one is upgraded to the maximum as there are tons of upgrades on the market, and slowly I invested over 300$ . All metal linkages, metal rear and front axles, stainless steel drive shafts, shocks, TX, RX, ESC and 3648 brushless outrunner motor and a 5000 mAh lipo battery. It became a real descent rig. Well these aren't a 1:10 scale, but somewhere between 1:11 & 1:12 but most of the parts from TRX4 fits well.

      Nothing like modding an rc. So much fun.

    I put a set of FTX Outback shocks on mine,granted you need to swap over the shock eyes and caps from the kit ones onto the FTX ones,which raise it's ride height quite a bit. The good thing is that the articulation on the suspension is vastly improved.

    Hi,There,My Man.Thank's for your update.I have just got my ZP1001.And i love it,Just finished doing all the mod's and some.I will be uploading a vid on it soon. And Be sure to Grease all the axle's as they don't come with much in them.Then you will have a Stronger rig and boy will it run a lot smoother so you won't have to remove the cover's for more cooling because of less resistance on all the moving part's. Another great vid My Friend.

      Thank's for that my man.OH and Also i removed four of the weight's from the back to make it lighter. Now it has more upfront weight and keep's the wheel's planted on the ground for better crawling.lol.

    Am with you there bro, I reareally like my one, dont know if you have seen my vids on it, I've still yet to put in my upgraded Ecs/Servo and Controller, I did put different wheels on but the stock ones work just fine, I drilled 3 air holes in the inside of the tyres and took the Foams out and they work great , Anyway really like your upgrades and Mods mate, this has to be the best scale Rig for the price I think, really enjoyed this vid 👍😁👍

    If it's 12428 shocks, it should have pistons. And it can be oil filled if you change bottom o-ring to proper rubber one. I think I put 2 of 5.6mm OD ring in each shock.

      Mine must have been left out during assembly. Mine have screws in them so maybe they just look a like : (

    Awesome love the in-depth review I was wondering about some of the chassis layout and stuff like that on it. Looks to be a great little truck. I kind of wonder if that Pro-Line sumo body designed for the ECX barrage would fit this truck good. Look forward to seeing what you do with her in the future.

      I'll run stock as long as I can with this one for now. Water runs are in its future!

    Hey just came across your video. Great stuff as usual. What’s the difference between the ZP1001 and the 1002? I have the 1002 on order. Just wondering what mods I would need for it.

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  2 года назад +1

      They seem to be the same. I recommend replacing the esc receiver with standalone ones. It will perform much better and be much more controllable and enjoyable. Then maybe some oil filled shocks to up the suspension performance. after just those mods you should see a big difference in that rc crawler.

    eBay, "A285004" probably about the right size and spring weight, threaded shock bodies, a little too long for MN-D90 (I slant mounted for that). they about 13-14 bucks for 4 of em.

    Thanks for the review, I want to buy MN-90 or ZP-1001 What do you recommend??

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  5 лет назад +2

      Depends on the size you want. They are both ok but if you like to mod and customize the mn model will have more aftermarket support right now.

    Hi, do you have any suggestion of better servo replacement? Many people says there is space just for micro-servo and recommends jx pdi-2506mg which has only just about 6kg :-(. I haven´t found stronger servo or solution how to place there stronger/bigger servo yet... I would really appreciate any ideas.. :-(

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  3 года назад

      I'm still using stock WPL servos and am going to order those jx servos in the future to try out. Sorry I can't recommend a better servo for ya.
