    Just retired living in Rockland County NY and looking to move to SC or NC. Love to fish and sail and hiking and biking. Probable looking to spend under 275.000 on a house. Do not want to live in a tourist town.. Also don't want to be in a flood zone. It looks like a beautiful Town and friendly which is inportant.
    Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

    I’m planning to move in the fall. Currently I am in Tampa but from Maine. I’ve always wanted to move to a small SC town and I came across this town a few years ago! I’m checking it out in a few weeks. I am a single, almost 30 year old. Wondering is this town mostly older folks?

      You can always look at the statistics on the Town of Bluffton website, but I think you'll find that there is a wide variety of ages in Bluffton. In 2019, the average age was 37.5 according to the United States Census Bureau.

    My husband and i are looking for places to move in South Carolina do you have any other locations in SC you would recommend for a family with two toddler kids?

    • @TheYostGroup
      @TheYostGroup  4 года назад +1

      South Carolina is divided up into different sections. The coastal areas would include Myrtle Beach, Charleston, and Hilton Head. There is also upstate which would include Greenville, Spartanburg (closer to the mountains and then the Midlands (the Columbia and Lake Murray area). It really depends on what type of work you do and what type of activities you like. We are experts in the Southeast region of South Carolina which covers Beaufort, Bluffton, Hardeeville, and Hilton Head Island. People with young children love the Beaufort County school district because of its high rankings. www.beaufortschools.net/ This area also has awesome employment opportunities and more coming with the opening of the development of the Riverport complex in Jasper County. Bluffton is ranked #2 in the State for relocation while neighboring Hardeeville is ranked #1. If you would like more information on this area or any other area in SC please email me at theyostgroup@gmail.com. We can answer specific questions and if you need information for other areas of SC we can put you in touch with people in those areas that can help out. :-)

      Hello! Depending on where you're going in Bluffton, you should be able to get there in about/less than an hour! 😀

    What was the name of the community you mentioned towards the end with walk ability? We are thinking about your area, we are interested in no or low maintenance neighborhood.

    • @TheYostGroup
      @TheYostGroup  3 года назад +1

      We have a couple communities now that are more walkable. I probably mentioned Old Town Bluffton because that has always been the best place to get around without a car. But now you have more options. New Riverside is building a new commercial area and is connected to the bike/hike trail system. It will also be an area that may become more popular with golf carts. Also, there is Buckwalter Place. Washington Square is supposed to be completely walkable and it is located next to Buckwalter Place and Berkley Place. This entire area is becoming an entertainment and business hub that is community and resident friendly. Resale opportunities exist in this area in Woodbridge and the Towns at Buckwalter. Communities not far from there (and still bikable) are Hampton Lake, Hampton Hall, Shell Hall, Sandy Pointe, the the Willows. Still to be build are the residential buildings in Washington square. We expect these will be condos on top of businesses but there may be a few townhomes as well. Hope this helps.

    No mention of low property taxes??? As real estate agents, I would think that would be a major selling point to potential buyers.

    • @sloan_005
      @sloan_005 3 года назад

      Dixie Patriot - 1) An auto isn’t *property* taxes. Property taxes are just that, property/ home. 2) You only pay taxes on an auto when you buy it. In SC a IMF is added when you register the auto. You do however pay yearly auto vehicle registration. SC has a higher sales tax too. Didn’t you research before moving??? 😳

    Every desirable place has traffic. Compared to huge cities, traffic is NOTHING in the Lowcountry. Ditch the car, and walk/bike around - it is a better quality of life!

      This area is truly a melting pot of people. You will find people of all ages, races, etc. To get a good idea of the statistics you can always visit the demographics posted on the Town of Bluffton's website. www.townofbluffton.sc.gov/DocumentCenter/View/510/The-Neighborhood-PDF?bidId= Keep in mind that these stats are older. The new census was just completed and population has definitely increased but the demographics are still very diverse.

      That is the best attitude. I am also from the North, and hate to hear complainers from away. Any new emigres needs to adjust to what is here, andcnot tryb& change people. SC is better run than any Northeastern or Upper Midwest state, andcway saner than the Left Coast 3!

    Wow Bluffton SC sounds great. I wish it was the Bluffton SC I live and work in. I've been in Bluffton since 2019 and the friendly warm inviting Southern hospitality does not exist. The people are rude. They have no respect for anyone. They push and shove there way to the front of everywhere.... Nobody can drive without trying to run you over to get to the red light first and STOP...if you're from a different state like 90 percent of Bluffton people with an attitude problem you'll fit in just fine
