- After the Stinson broke a brake line we decided to fly in the lower peninsula for the rest of the weekend. The Super Cub and Maule along with Blue flew off for a fly in that I was somehow was able to the get an invite to. I think I really just backed in being I was flying the someone who was invited. The turn out for a private strip in northern corner of Michigan was great. It was also great to find a member of the Great Michigan Bush Co who liked the idea of Stinson but had not ever had a ride in one. Well in that case I had no choice but to take him up for a ride. What a great day of flying. Michigan had fields, woods, water, swaps and rivers to explore with the planes.
I love the portrait shot of Blue. She looks like a little toy model! Really shows off the lines of these beautiful airplanes.
It's a good looking airplane. When we left it was flight of 3, a 108, a Maule, and a Pacer. Give that group a second though itand's kinda neat.
Diggin that pacer!
Thanks a real nice Pacer, only better looking single out there is a Stinson 108 :-) Well the Beech staggerwing.
That's some beautiful landscape you guys are flying over. Thanks for sharing.
“Up North” Michigan is a beautiful area. I really want to get up to the UP with some guys and film that area. It is great to leave the farm fields.
Great lookin’ Super Cub 👍🏼
It is. Did you see the slats? He was showing us some places “we could land” that “we” sure wouldn’t land without without a Cub like that.
@@GreatMichiganBushCo didn’t see the slats! Must be the Dakota Cub STC, what a package 👍🏻
@@PARTner91 the slats along with the 180 horsepower engine. Just a beast of an airplane.
Really liking the content
Thanks for watching and the comment! Helping us grow.
Hubbard Lake.
It is.
It's the Domino's Pizza Meyers!
Leave it to Jason to identify the Meyers! I was wondering how long it would take for someone to recognize that airframe. Less than an hour!
@@GreatMichiganBushCo I remember when they had a Maule based at KARB. It was painted in the Domino's Pizza domino scheme.
The guy who owns that airplane, father worked at the Meyer factory and without a doubt would have assisted in the fabrication of that aircraft.
It would be great if the locations of these airstrips could be mentioned to allow those of us watching follow along with a sectional...
Most of the places we fly are not on the sectional. I try and keep folks in the loop to our location a bit. I'll try to do better in future videos.
Later in the video the shot of mount Mariah is awesome!
Thank for watching till the end! That was a nice area.
@@GreatMichiganBushCo it really is an amazing view from the top of the hill
