“My brother need not be idolized or enlarged in death beyond what he was in life. Be remembered simply as a good and decent man who saw wrong and tried to right it, saw suffering and tried to heal it, saw war and tried to stop it.” RIP, Bobby.
TheSpritz0 Not only that, but the most compassionate and honorable person I think I've ever seen. He cared about others in a way that you can tell wasn't fake or was easy to discredit, and how he could simply bring so many different types of ppl together was simply awe inspiring. The crowds speak for themselves. Easily the greatest person I've ever seen.
erbe Agreed, he was a man of immense and true love and compassion for others who fought hard for all of them regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender etc. He really loved and cared about ppl, and you can't fake or discredit that. Just look at the crowds and they speak for themselves.
@@mickfunny4185 that's their problem. The overwhelming majority would vote for Bobby and would be more of a landslide than JFK would have got in 64. Drumpf wouldn't know what the hell happened. 2020 against Biden would be a nailbiter by comparison!
@@mickfunny4185 wrongo buddy, leaving your hatred in front of the truth again. In reality he would be a perfect candidate as Trump supporters love and respect honesty and straight unfiltered talk.
At the beginning, when the reporter accidently said "the commission that President Kennedy..." Bobby quickly asked, "you want to start again?" It was no ordinary flub. It clearly pushed emotion buttons in the senator to hear that.
What I notice here is genuine reporters asking heavy, consequential questions and a true political leader fielding all of them politely, eloquently and with nuance. Bob Kennedy didn’t lambaste anyone here, he was always respectful to the press and colleagues alike. And Ron Johnson attempts to avoid questions from a reporter by pretending to be on his cell.
The media worked with the Kennedys as to even give them questions in advance to prep their answers. Having said that I'm still a big fan of JFK and RFK.
I disagree with RFK's emphasis on bringing in private business from outside African American communities. I think what was needed was to find ways to encourage healing and development from within those communities, through efforts led by African Americans. Still, his death was a terrible loss to this country. He was a man of vision and compassion who was uniquely positioned to lead the way forward.
I think bringing in business from outside was the first step. It would actually create opportunities for African Americans to create their own businesses once the area was thriving again.
You don’t have to look far to see the model that Kennedy wanted for urban restoration: Bedford-Stuyvesant in New York City. He initiated a renewal project of that dilapidated ghetto area. As of 2010, Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation had constructed or rehabilitated 2200 housing units in the neighborhood, provided mortgage financing to nearly 1500 homeowners, brought $375 million in investments to the community, and created over 20,000 jobs.
There were plenty of businesses inside Detroit at the time of the riots. Most of tbem closed up afterwards. The ppl brought it upon themselves when they became violent.
Yes, Senator RFK was more dynamic than His brother, Jack Kennedy! What a shame for both assassinations! But Robert was more equipped to serve our country! As I said he was more equipped than his brother, the former president, John F. Kennedy!' Higher intelligence!! That's my opinion after hearing talk! Great Intelligence!!! 👍
They were both brilliant men. But, what made RFK appear more complex and compassionate, was the profound affect John’s death had on him. His grief was extreme.
He had more class and charisma in his little finger, than most politicians today have in their entire body.
Amen to that! That's when leaders were truly righteous leaders.
DANG! What an Incredible Bright Light Speaking So Naturally Pure & Clear Truth!
this man had less than a year left on this earth...so sad
What is sadder , he knew if he ran he would not see 1972. He persisted and risked to achieve his vision of a greater America.

John and Bobby tried to bring this country together , more Bobby than John , i dont understand racism so wrong , and it seperates this country still

Yes, US has made no progress since 1946.
Bobby Kennedy's ability to answer interview questions intelligently
Compare him with politicians we have today. If he were to run today, for any election, he would beat any opponent, hands down.
