Recently, I have come to the knowledge that it's NOT my time and I am 'unable' to make time. God made time for us humans. He made us and knows our areas of weakness. I am to use HIS time wisely and that is His will for me.

Yes, my goal is to use the time he’s given me more wisely.
I try to get in the word 3 times a day. I do my actual Bible study in the evening after dinner when the house has quieted down. In the mornings I spend time in a devotional and prayer before I do anything else. On my lunch break... I try to meditate on a verse or work on memorizing a verse. It's not always perfect...but before I lay my head down every night ... I have to spend some time with God and in His word. It's what feeds me.
It’s beautiful how you gently demonstrate to your boys “this is important. The Word of God is a priority.”
Great video! I also read through all of my Bible reading sections for the day before going down any rabbit trails of word studies, using Bible dictionary, etc. I simply place a pencil dot in the margin of any part of Scripture that I'd like deep dive in when I complete my reading. Sometimes I run out of time, but I know I still have pencil dots in sections I'd like to revisit when I have additional time. (I erase the dots as I complete a section, so the only dots left are for questions that still remain.) ✝💜

If you feel you have no time to read, I would recommend listening to the Bible! If you’re busy doing other things, you can still listen. I also found that reading the Bible on my phone works for me, especially if I hide the social media apps and put the Bible app there instead. The reading plan is helping to keep me on track as well because I have a plan to follow and don’t have to spend time deciding what I should read. I’m really enjoying it!!

This past year, I found myself spending an hour watching Netflix. Then I felt so disappointed in myself, because I could have used that time doing something more important. Reading my Bible, so now that’s what I do. My lunch hour is my Bible time. And I get excited to go to lunch for that reason. Also my husband goes to bed at 7:30 so from 8:00-9:00 that’s my Bible time again. 😊

I’m reading the Bible for the first time ever just to get a good sense of what it really says. I found a Bible app that reads it to me and I can read along or just listen. I have found that that definitely helps process it more, but I decided to do a quick 30 day plan just to make it all make sense for the first time around. I honestly can’t put it down! But I will play it when I’m doing chores around the house, in between doing things, folding laundry (I’ve found that more laundry is actually also getting done when I have an ‘excuse’ to find a chore where I can also listen along), when the kids are busy doing other stuff, before bed, as soon as I wake up while having coffee, I can’t not ‘read’ it right now and can’t get enough! Right now on 5 days ahead of my plan on day 19 of 30 days. I’ve also found that the more I’m invested into this, the less time I have for other things that weren’t as important, LIKE social media!! Definitely a win-win! I actually took a break just now after a few hours of reading and listening to get online as a break and this popped up in my YT.
After I’m done, I definitely do plan on going back and doing a more in depth study of it, maybe a 1 year deeper one, but being someone who’s never read it before, I felt getting a overview was more important the first time around to understand it more.
But maybe it’s that I’m new to this and want to find out more of what it does say, but I have the opposite problem and I’m finding it hard to actually put it down right now!
I also bought the Jesus Bible as well as the Rainbow Study Bible to help dive deeper into my studies after I’m done with my quick run through of it all. Even in my free time, I’m going online to find the difference questions I have in what this means or what that association to this that I just read means trying to put the pieces together a lot bit more while I have the questions fresh in my head, but I can’t wait to go back and have the time to actually do more in my Bible especially using one as my prayer study and incorporating art into it all since I also bought a Bible for this particular purpose as well as another one to study in as well.

I’d appreciate a week long series on how to use your Bible reading plan, taking notes on what you read, and sticking to 30 min. I struggle with wanting to answer every question all at once and so I feel like I’m moving very slowly through the plan and losing motivation.

Rabbit trails like crazy when I'm studying. So, I created a Google document and keep it open while I'm studying. If there's an unrelated question or I know the rabbit trail study is going to be way longer than what I can "fit in" during my current reading, I'll summarize what I want to study on the Bible-Study-To-Do list, then go back to focus on where I've been reading. It's training my brain to just let it go until a later study. Plus, I've got this list I can choose from when I go to His Word again!

Well said. Great reminder. I would only add that we can also listen to the bible. I have to remind myself this because I prefer to sit and read it although seem to never do it.
Yes! Actually reading it is hard for some. I know it’s also not processed and retained best that way. Listening to it being read might work better for some which is what I’m doing now. I have found that reading along while it’s being read to me, makes it stick better than just reading it alone!
It’s also far more convenient to do so while constantly on the go and have no excuse not to if that’s the case! Though, it’s best to find the quiet time to do so uninterrupted, but if it means the difference between reading it on the go or not at all because you don’t have the time, one would think that on the go is better than not at all.

Yes, listening uses a different part of the brain than reading so it’s a great way to get the full perspective.

Okay, I have registered (Plan and videos) and decided to go ahead and start "Lesson 1"...a headstart to 2024!
In 2024 my Bible time will be as soon as I walk in the door from my bus aide position I work part time at. Then my exercise. I would put those off until later. Why. Those are 2 important things I need to do daily

Kids NEED to see our faith in Jesus being lived out in our everyday lives!
We don't have kids of our own, but we make sure we read the Bible together and live out our faith as much as possible on the rare weekends our nieces and nephew stay with us.
I know so many people get mad at this but... OF COURSE your kids are important, but NOT as important as Jesus. Just sayin.

If you are a busy person you can dont have to read your bible 1 hour everyday (okay I'm a student I can have all the time of the world for me myself and I and I got to read the bible more) you can read the bible 20 minutes everyday or you also can listen to the bible in the bible app in your car etc
I recently purchased your reading plan. Was planning to start it in January, but with the little videos, it was such a great blessing that I got a head start... so I have some extra grace days when January rolls around. I know I will need them, because I spend a lot of time in the Bible studying for other things that I take part in at my church and such. I recommend all your studies. I look forward to your new ones. In the morning i make tea, feed the cat and sit down with God n my tea. Soon He is helping, teaching, showing me where to dig, n i am to busy feasting, so my tea gets cold. Lol. Good feasts tho😊
As a special needs mom, it's not always easy to have time in the Word or to myself. But I do need it. So I make sure early mornings I spend with my Jesus. I look forward to it! 😍 Thanks for being so encouraging.
The reality is we are so bombarded with distractions as you said what is our priority at the end of the day? Is it Gods word or Netflix, video games, Facebook etc. Maybe it means having to go to bed early so you can wake up early to spend time in Gods word. I pray God will help me this year to better manage my devotional time as I have two little ones one 2 the other is 8m and they are both very needy in different ways. God will help me as his word says seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all of these things will be given to you
You are so right. We all have time if we take/ make the time. My goal for 2024 is to read the Bible start to finish and go to church consistently. I want to have a closer relationship with Jesus.

Hi Faith, first I have to say, love those nails! I used to find it hard to spend time in my Bible doing reading or journaling, you know, do your morning stuff, eat, check emails and all of a sudden half the day is gone. Then recently my friend lost her husband and at his funeral service his grandson mentioned that grandpa didn't do anything until he had his cup of coffee and spent at least an hour with his Bible and conversation with God. So I tried it and find that I am able to get my morning prayers, Scripture Scribing and reading done without any difficulty. I've actually found that I sometimes spend 2 hours before I realize that I'm hungry and need to eat. I know it's not for everyone, I'm widowed and live alone and as long as I feed the purr babies first there are no distractions. PS did I tell you I love those nails. 😍🤗

I just finished your Hebrews follow along, you are a wonderful teacher , I will be doing your Bible Dive 2024. The only thing I found out was your ESV verses my KNJV it was a substantial difference, so I will just have to find a way to do your ESV on my NKJV I will figure it out, thank you for being you 🦋
You can always use one of the online Scripture services for ESV. By working with your NKJV and reading ESV, you are going to have a good perspective on the differences between those translations. No doubt, you will go down a few rabbit holes just because a word or two vary!

I just want you to know how much you have inspired me. My biggest struggle for the longest time has been with how to study the Bible. I was already a prolific highlighter but still wasn’t feeling like I was understanding what I was reading. In just a couple of short days of journaling and use commentaries (which I had never known existed) I have already started doing the book of Revelation. So thank you so much!! 💜💜

I truly appreciate you so much Faith! I have been a believer for a little over a year and your videos have been great! I've also been doing the Bible Boot camp and love it. I appreciate that you are always authentic in who you are as a child of God, a wife, and a mother. Since I started reading the Bible last November I have the same rule of not leaving my bed until I've read the Bible.

Thank you for this! What helped me out was putting a timer on my Instagram app. So once I use up my time on it, the app closes out and I can't get back in till the next day
I did the exact same thing with my apps, they are all on the back of my phone. That one tip really helps. I also read/skim my Bible lesson on my phone before I get out of bed. That prepares me with what I’ll be studying for the day. 🎉

Hi Faith, I WANT to read through the Bible in a year but as a student, when September & October comes back around and a new year starts, then the Gospels also start and therefore I have *ALWAYS* struggled to READ through the Gospels and the New Testament (I find it therefore HARDER than the OLD TESTAMENT-which might sound crazy) but it’s [more] important for me because I’m a Christian and so it MUST get my attention. If you have some tips-or anyone else reading this-they would be VERY APPRECIATED! Thank you all!
Why don’t you start out with the gospels this year instead?
I just can here to say start with the New Testament this year too! Then read the OT after.
I have health issues for not getting up first thing in the morning but if it late as 6 in the evening l tried to do my study.

I struggle with making time also, but part of my problem is I've had alot of surgeries... on my eyes several years ago, and ever since then, I can not read physical books very well. Digital, I'm fine with. Don't know if it is because of eye surgery or the anesthesia fried my brain. It kills me, because I used to love books. I struggle to study now, where as I used to be able to read and summarize and 'get' nearly everything. Now, Bible study is hard. Any kind of reading is hard.
I deleted my social media in April. I haven’t redownloaded or revisited any of them, because I KNOW I’d get sucked in. The enemy wants us distracted.
I am having an upswing in reading my Bible but I am having trouble staying with a reading plan. I haven't stuck to my reading plan for a month now but I have been at least in the word four five days out of the week. If there are any possible prayers please 8:32

I tell myself to read the Bible, but then I never make the time to do it. It’s like I feel like I don’t have the time but I have lots of time. How do I make myself get into reading his word?
Serious question because when I do my readings I get lost doing a deep dive and when I realize how much time has gone by (usually 2-3 hrs) I am sooo drained and have forgotten about other tasks I needed to do. I feel like I'm ALWAYS asking 'why?' every sentence - not a bad thing, I know, but idk how to manage and balance my time and studies... it's overwhelming 😅

They range! Sometimes it is a quick 2 minute summary. Other times, it is a longer video with a rabbit trail or two. The average is probably 5 min
