Nice review. From all the reviews I've been listening to, I prefer the clean sound you get from the dual distortion more than the dual drive. I know there's not much of a range of clean on the dual distortion, but it just seems to be a bit thicker. I know it's impossible to please everybody with a review so you did a good job, but I would have loved to have heard the sound of channel 1 with just a bit of hair pushing something like a cleanish amp/platform pedal (blues driver, for example) in the effects loop.😊

It’s a great sound. Need to play with the dual distortion more. Naturally just go to the dual drive for some reason. The clean does seem thicker you’re correct. Thanks for the kind words, glad the review helped. Yeah good point with regards to the use of another pedal or amp to push.

Which has more gain? This or the red pedal

Great question. The black definitely has a lot more gain.

I like to ask what kind of adaptor to use with? 9v?
I plugged it and is already on distortion without i pressed buttons

Yeah it’s a 9V. There is one that comes with it in the box.
If it already has distortion on it without the buttons being pressed in then it must be on the distortion channel on the amp thay it is going into. Should be on the clean channel if going into an amp. I use without amp. Straight into speaker using the cab emulation out.
      Hope that helps

Hi, do you pull of from socket when not in use ? Or its constantly powered? Thanks

Hi, good question. It is constantly powered by the 9V plug that is in use. You can turn it off by pushing the foot switches and you can also turn off by unplugging the 9V power supply

Power wise it works the same way as all other pedals that you’d use on a pedal board

@@joshowenguitar but when its “off” on both channels, its still hot. so tube is under power, isnt it “dangerous” for life of tube ?
blackstar send me message that has no bypass so its still works and they dont know whats the best way, interresting, by BS workers 😄

      @@danielmichejda8021 that’s interesting. A good point too.
I mean, yeah I suppose it depends on how it’s being used. For me, it’ll be getting used the whole time during my live sets so it needs to be on all the time. The issues would be if you are wanting to bypass it at any point sound wise. Tube life on those little tubes is ages anyway so I wouldn’t worry about that. It’d be the equivalent of leaving a valve amp turned on. The Warmer those tubes get the better they sound.
I’ll look a little more into this. Very interesting

@@joshowenguitar In mine case its about home playing, so i play when i want or need and dont know if its better to pulling out from socket 3 times a day or only at night or let it powered constantly. What do you think ?
