    as the reagent is in aq form it follows sn1 mechanism .......
    and secondary carbocation is formed (it has more stability than primary) OH from reagent binds there to form propan-2-ol.
    since there is no chiral carbon there will be no racemic mixture.
    finally ans is option B🙃

      @@rajhans4687 2°carbocation is more stable than 1° carbonation and here SN1 rxn took place as aq.AgNO3 is used. Andi if 2nd C has + ve charge then OH- will come to this C only.

    Propan-2-ol is formed and this reaction yields both detro and levo rotatory are formed (racemic mixture)

    (3) option is the correct answer as it undergoes SN 1 whose generally yields racemic mixture (50/50 enantiomeric mixture)

      Bcoz it follows sn1 mechanism. Removal of br and addition of nuxleohile oh- . Even though they didn't mention wt nu- is!!! Hope this helps u🙄😇😇

      @@DrGulshanTayal no propan2ol is different from propan1ol they are not racemic mixture they only rotate the light in different way
