  • Dr. Miles Neale describes what he calls the 'chain of pain', formed from trauma, leading to pain, protected by over-compensation, but resulting in self-identification. The liberating insight of Buddhism and psychology is that because no part of us is fixed, the chain can be broken, and we can be liberated from self-imposed suffering.
This clip is from Miles' online course Master Your Becoming, the flagship and first of eight courses that comprise the Contemplative Studies Immersion, Certificate Program for those looking for in-depth study and practice in Tibetan Buddhist lam rim or gradual path teachings.
