Blessed are the Merciful (Fighter Pilots) - Beatitudes Series

- This program is part of a series on the Beatitudes of Jesus. In this episode, we will look at what Jesus meant when he taught, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” This teaching will be illustrated by the Charlie Brown episode in World War II, in which a German fighter ace spared a stricken American B-17 bomber and saved the lives of its crew. In the Bible, mercy is a central quality of the character of God, demonstrated through Jesus Christ, and a key character trait of his people. Mercy doesn’t come naturally to human beings; however, when we understand the mercy that God has shown to us, we can be more merciful toward others.

Another incredible story. Thank you also for the Beatitudes series. I am learning so much and been very inspired with the true to life stories and the Bible truths ..
"Be merciful just as our Father in heaven is merciful" and "Forgive, just as we have been forgiven" even though it is hard especially recounting the situation, but we will only have peace if we do so. Forgiving and being merciful to others will reflect on how we truly accept and embrace the forgiveness and mercy we have received from God.
Thank you for this very beautiful message at such a difficult time in this world’s history.
Let's hope this kind of mercy will be displayed in Ukraine despite the bitter fighting there...

21 years old and thrust into combat: at that age my biggest issue was poor tv reception.
A video on Jeremiah, the Weeping Prophet would be helpful to me, showing that sometimes God keeps people in a certain level of misery for certain purposes, that it is normal.
Also, about this video, I think something should be said about boundaries, bc the truth is that sometimes people just want to sin and screw with you and this gjves you no choice but to defend yourself. Im talking about peolle who have no control in their own lives and so they try to manipulate and control you and any favor you show to them is twisted into them feeling like they got you, and also people who just choose to by drug addicts by their own free will and then bc kf their carelessness do things thst make your life difficult, like steal your vehicles and wake you up in the middle of the night screaming at the top of their lungs bc theyre high as a kite.
