    Why do so many people cut ultra ball in this deck? Do you not want to have a bigger chance of finding Squawkabilly, Ninja, Bolt and so on while discarding energy for Sada?

    • @psycodelicomiofficial
      @psycodelicomiofficial 3 месяца назад +7

      Discarding 2 cards in this deck can sometimes hurt future combo plays or forces you to burn energy retrievals when you don't need to. Yes you improve your odds, but you blow through your deck so fast anyways it doesn't matter

      @JosephMarsh-cz8or 3 месяца назад +1

      just a theory, but if you go second and start sada, which you will almost always find, you don’t really need the extra search and almost always want a more efficient engine. If you are searching for that last pokegear to rip a sada for win and hit a useless ultra ball ur crying in the club.

    • @kered13
      @kered13 3 месяца назад +1

      Agreed. It helps a lot in setting up your board early, it can discard energy for Sada, and you're often going go turn 1 Squawk anyways so if you have an Ultra Ball in that hand you aren't even really losing anything. I run 2 in my Ogerpon deck.

      So I'm a newer player but I would guess because nothing evolves here so you can find what you need with nest balls. And discarding to find something can screw you sometimes. Just a guess tho.

    Thoughts on Cornerstone Mask vs single prize Sandy Shocks? Shocks only needs 1 energy but CS Oger can 1 shot through Bravery Charm. But ALSO it needs 3 energy to set up, which of course either takes a combination of more turns/ multiple energy switch

      Cornerstone does not seem like the right play because it's too slow. 3 manual attachments the game should be over by then

      I think the mini Sandy Shocks is for just in case there’s a mimikyu you need knocked out, or a weak single prizer is in the active that it would be too risky/resource heavy to kill with raging bolt.

    Bug Catching Set just feels wrong in the deck. There aren't enough hits and if you do the calcs its gives you less than a card on average.

    RB vs RB? sick and annoying game. People making same deck getting the game depressed. Were is Frosslass? Were is GengarEX deck? people stop clonning decks and play this for fun not for making the game ilness.

  • @AronFigaro
    @AronFigaro 3 месяца назад +4

    Yeah, this deck is definitely strong, though it's still fragile if you can disrupt their fighting / lightning energy, especially in a deck that focuses on one prize attackers. I almost wonder if this will bring up Luxray. I only lost to bolt in testing on a brick, Lugia's an autowin, and I think the only deck Luxray really scoops to is Blissey which is totally dead with this much Bolt in the format.
    Actually genuinely curious what else has great Bolt matchups now that we're seeing "no, Dragapult really doesn't", which was kind of the rock paper scissors in Japan a few weeks ago and now Dragapult and Blissey just don't exist.

    So how do you deal with single prize decks with raging bolt? I played against ancient box yesterday and wasn't much I could do. Great content as always Azul.

      This deck needs a single prizer in it strong enough to do 140 to truly be BDIF material

    • @kered13
      @kered13 3 месяца назад +6

      You don't. It's a very linear deck. Great at taking down other 2 prize decks, possibly even the best in the format. Bad against one prize decks that can reach for the OHKO on Raging Bolt.

    • @lordvizer7398
      @lordvizer7398 3 месяца назад

      @@kered13 Yeah sadly there isn't much right now to help the deck against single prizers. I played against ancient box like I said and there was just no adjustments to that matchup. Thanks for the input friend.

      @@beanburrito4405 It really does cause right now it seems easily beatable by decks like lost box, gardevoir, and lugia. I say lugia because they typically run a 3-3 cincinno line so they can play like a one prize deck against raging bolt.

    I’m a little iffy cutting Cornerstone. But I agree it is slow. But sometimes it can just carry against control. As your video has shown you don’t really need it against Zard.

    Can someone explain why at 6:20 there's a switch cart into Prime catcher? Am I missing something?

    • @yungskrill
      @yungskrill 3 месяца назад +1

      a little late but prime catcher forces you to move ur benched pokemon to the active but he wants to keep his active. SO he moves his active to the bench then uses prime catcher and that allows him to move his pokemon right back to the active. Its basically a very drawn out boss's orders.
