So id say you’re definitely safe using these for short distances even if they are consistent throughout the week, the big issue I had was when I was running in the range of 14-16 miles (22-25km) the gel doesn’t recover and just lays there flat and provides little comfort. As for using them in the gym I can’t really say much I don’t use them in the gym I have a separate pair for that.

I'm 103kg and run 6-7km every day and did my first 43km run in these just as a normal Saturday run after 2 months with very little pain. These are the best shoes I have ever used from 10+ pairs. Using a new pair after 500km just to be sure I'm getting maximum protection

The Nimbus compares to the Ghost? Ewww. NOT good, then.

It’s like the ghost with a TINY bit more cushion. The ghost is equal to running on a 2x4

You can solve the bad long run sensations and actually the bad smell in the shoe ... changing the insole. 😊

Andrew I'm running my first marathon in a few months and I had decided to run with nimbus 25.
    Do you think I shouldn't?
Can you recommend me other choices?? Thank you

    • @andrewmillermileage

I think a fresh pair (under 200miles) definitely should do you fine on a marathon. I’m actually wearing mine right now doing my morning cardio. But I do recommend having either a pair of flip flops or another pair of shoes ready for after the race, the foam and gel will feel bad at the end and as you head home. Best of luck to you, you’re gonna crush it 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Thanks for the review. I am new to running and was suggested by a sale rep that these are great running shoes. After two months and 200kms, I feel that Gel 25 is holding me back to achieve faster speed. On the other hand, I can’t stop wearing them for casual walks, despite how ugly they are 😅 These shoes are so comfortable to walk in. So I ordered Superblast to run instead and use Gel 25 for recovery runs and casual walks in the park. I hope I will be able to become faster wearing Superblast instead. Again thanks for the review and your opinion!

Thank you for enjoying the review, I’m sorry that you also aren’t fully loving the Gel 25s haha but that’s how it goes I guess. I’m going to be buying the Metaspeeds for my marathon shoe and then I’m hoping they either do a new Novablast 4 for 2024 or I can sit get the 3s because they were my personal favorite. But again thanks for watching, hopefully the Superblasts treat you well!

Nice review for someone who actually wear the shoes as their previous series: long run. ASICS certainly didn't do their homework to test it before releasing it.
I almost got Nimbus 25, but ended up getting Cumulus 25 due to rocker and overly stacked shoes. CS25 Also faced the similar if not the same issues: the midsole is mushy for run longer than 1hr.
I think it is not the gel but the single EVA based. While older ASICS have duomax layers.
It was more consistent throughout the run.
It is upsetting as other brand already realised this and add layers to their shoes while ASICS is the one removing their layers.
ASICS new lineup becomes like Hoka 😅 a comfy casual shoes that can be used for running.
I also agree that the price hike also unjustified as the construction is way much simpler.

@@andrewmillermileage I was considering buying the metaspeed sky but went with Superblast instead. The metaspeed lasts only the first 200kms than the plate gets worse. I am not a pro runner so Superblast makes more sense for me, especially when it was reviewed by many as super runner shoe without a plate inside.

I also got a Gel-Nimbus 25 with 350km, and it is the hardest shoes I got to go faster or pick up the pace. Unfortunately, these shoes were made to go only slow ...oh well . I can run with more versatility and faster with my heavy SolarGlide 6 ( awesome shoes!) and even faster with the Wave Sky 7.
I heard that Asics is making the Gel-Nimbus 26 to become more nimble , lightweight , and more aggressive ! I saw some photos of it, and it is what the consumer wants ...

Why are people complaining about speed for long runs with nb25? Why are you even wearing nb25 for speed 😂😂 It’s max cushion shoe for recovery run or casual walk. You would want novablast or superblast for speed.
