Powerful second half of the song. I saw it on the Daily Show. The way he beats the hell out of the drums in the second half is awesome. As an atheist,I like the motif of not reaching heaven. Given the fact that its fake someone might as well right a song about it. Kudos Coldplay you are one of the best bands ever!! Rock on.
I didn't mean it in a bad way...I love both bands. The guitar part after the piano intro reminds me something the Edge would play...something simple and loud. I think since using Brian Eno as producer they keep sounding like them even more, but in their own way.
Some one said very U2 ish as if that was a bad thing or something! I don't agree that this song is U2 ish. Many of their songs are definitly inspired by U2.
what mistake did he make at the end? He says he missed out something, but I couldn't work it out. I listened to the CD to try figure out but couldn't. Anyone know??
I just love coldplay altogether. They are a great band, and need to continue untl either Chris Martin can't hit those high notes anymore or they just become too old to play period. Check out my account for short films by me.
You know, the song does sound a little bit like 2+2=5. Just a little bit. NO I'm not comparing, and NO I'm not saying wich is better, there's just a tiny little small sligth resemble.
This isnt U2-ish!!!! If anything its a bit Radiohead-ish... Its get the slow start, the really atmospheric strings/vocals, then the rockier section. Like Paranoid Android practically. Awesome song though.

I bought A Rush Of Blood to the Head when I was 11. For me is one of the best albums ever. This new one is pretty good too. Colplay rocks!
My favorite of the album. A classic for me.
i do find most of coldplay's songs unexciting but the second half of this song is one of my favorite songs in the world right now
the song-title is from a book named: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
"Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything"
This is one awesome song !! I love the instrumental bit in the middle. It rocks !!
No comment..Just listening...Traveling...
Love is the word to explain Coldplay Musics
=D
this is one of my favourite song of the new record... can't wait to see them, yesterday i bought the tickets for lyon concert!!!!! :D :D
Coldplay is Awsome.
Having Eno do the production makes sense of why I heard so much U2 in Reign of Love.
Thank you very much for the video!
Excellent video thank you! I was here too, it was an awesome night :)

i love this song with all my heart. xD

I always thought the same! The Beatles are the best
this song sounds the best on their new album
so cool
I wonder if they got the song title from Hitchiker's guide to the galaxy... that would be amazing.
Also, love how consistent they are live vs. album.
johnny is so cool
I thought so. I was thinking about it today actually. I think it's kinda funny they used somthing from that book.
"Oh ffff... I messed up at the end for the second time in two nights."
lol
Yeah this is easily one of the best songs off there new album, but the whole album is great.
yeah i really like that part too...it seems to be the motif in their album. not getting to heaven.
2:30 is the best part in my opinion
"Ohhh fff...I messed it up again for the second time in two days!"
wooow,i'm afraid coldplay will never come in bulgaria, but hope dies last, you know
I didn't mean it in a bad way...I love both bands. The guitar part after the piano intro reminds me something the Edge would play...something simple and loud. I think since using Brian Eno as producer they keep sounding like them even more, but in their own way.
the truth about the afterlife. well, according to mr. martin you go into his head...
"I messed it up again" is what I hear, and the bit after that I can't really understand.
seems right to me
What guitar is that... Starcaster? or is it a fender telecaster thinline ?... love the diversity of this song :)
lol @ the ending
Whoa, I thought the piano always faced the other way...

What does he say? 'I mised the ..... for the second time'
@guitardude7771, don't be so sure

what about queen, scorpions, metallica ?
did you see their magic balls!!!!???!?!?
Very U2-ish but still very good!
I normally can't stand coldplay, but damn..
You know, the song does sound a little bit like 2+2=5. Just a little bit.

@AlmaEnsa i know how,i play it on my guitar

i don't get it. what did he miss? he was like "ooooo.. i missed up the ...." whatT? lol.
haha what does he say at 3:34?
I think he forgot some lyrics or something.
