    Living out in the wilderness with mountains, near rivers and an abundance of beautiful trees is Truly a Blessing and Peaceful! 💁🏻‍♀️I’ve been without electricity, therefore that was very easy for me because I finished what needed to be done while the sunshine was out and rested at night! There is a Prayer Request for a newborn baby girl named Bianca who was born with some complications, already went through surgery and needs to be lifted up in Prayer!🙏🏼. Thank you everyone!💖

    Audrey, I hope you enjoyed your Prom, you looked amazing.
    Bert I always appreciate when you take us along to see other areas of Alaska. I know I won't get to Alaska now but through you and your family, it gives us an really good idea of the State. Thank you. The Alaskan scenery is amazing.
    In Australia, we have miles of nothing in between major towns and cities also but our landscape is dry, dusty with a good amount of red coloured dirt and grey bush. Most people live in the large cities. It takes a certain kind of person to live in regional cities and towns. I think like in Alaska, you need to enjoy your own company and finding plenty to keep yourself occupied.
    Yes , we could live in the type of isolation community such as Wiseman. We alway find a way of making do because not everything is available in our small city. Living in isolation one needs to be able to be self-sufficient. Most people don't cope with that concept. My friend of 60 years couldn't cope full time where live even though it's the largest city north of our State's capital, Brisbane. She's only ever lived in Melbourne which is a large city. She only knows places in the outback from visiting us over the years as we've moved around with work. Now we're retired and thankfully we found our way to Townsville about seven years before retirement, so we were settled by the time we retired. Most people move on retired and have trouble settling in. Our home has solar power that feeds into the grid but we are set up to go off grid when ever it's required. My husband was an Electrical Technician before retirement and taught his trade for a total of eleven years. We worked in two isolated mining towns as well as city and country living. So we can pretty much cope with what's thrown at us, much like yourself.

  • @NathanEnos2005
    @NathanEnos2005 Год назад +6

    "Could you live here?"
    ABSOLUTELY! I love the small, close-knit feel of it, and how self-reliant they are. Just one small community taking care of its own. I think the world would be better if more of us lived more like this than the fast-paced, high stress lives most of us live.
    Thanks for the video!
    I'm getting super excited now. Lord willing, I leave in just over 2 weeks for a 3 week road trip to Alaska. I've never been there, always wanted to go, and finally I'm in a position to make it happen. My biggest fear is that I won't want to come back...
    And when I say I could live there, even in the small, remote places like Wiseman, I really mean it. I could do it.

    Hi gang. First off, Audrey looked like a doll for her prom. She said no when asked to dance? 😢 How does it work having a prom with homeschooled students? Bert, you go to real remote places. Coldfoot and Wiseman seem like places to go if you’re a writer doing a book, a study for a school course, or a place just to isolate yourself from everyday life for a bit. Seems like these tough places to reside in if you have medical issues and need doctors close by like my husband. Bert has to take us yet farther up north.

    Love the tour. As long as I could get bulk propane delivery and generator, as well as a decent sized house, then yes I would live there.
