Look at those experience differences. Jesse coached in USA, Germany, England, and Austria. He managed in the most intense pressure filled environment in the world. He coached World class talents, like Haaland for example. He won the Austrian league double, has won champions league matches and stopped liverpools 2 year unbeaten home streak in a 3-2 comeback at Anfield. He hasn’t always had the best runs but comparing that to any of these MLS guys, they aren’t even in the same universe as Jesse.. we need to look for a top foreign coach period. Cherundolo is USMNT legend. With that said, even Hanover hasn’t come knocking on his door to be their coach and they love over there probably even more than we do. So if a Bundesliga 2 club doesn’t even want to hire one of their legends why should we? Again we gotta start having higher standards for our national team coaches. These MLS coaches just don’t cut it. We’re a top 30 nation in the World so we need to demand a coach that can coach at a top 10-15 nation. It’s time to raise our expectations since we aren’t the fledgling soccer nation we used to be 25-30 years ago

Gregg Berhalter should never have been hired in the first place. Some people want to credit him for bringing the team together, but look at the results! Two players got red cards for hitting other players. When has this ever happened before? Why does he play Renya so far back, and why can't he change a game with tactics for substitutions? Matt Betty Crocker should also be on the hot seat because if he doesn't get this new hire right, he has to go, too. Crocker had to admit that he was wrong for bringing Berthalter back, unlike Berhalter, who constantly blamed the players. USSF needs to make better decisions and break up this nepotism even more.

That is not an easy thing to do and then to go on and win a mls cup with aging talent. You guys do not see his true potential. The man loves a challenge. Bruce Arena took us the furthest and all he did was coach Galaxy in an infant MLS. Which is no where near the level it is now.
