Stop bashing Canada Lalas. Anyone but Canada? They won CONCACAF last World Cup. The US team is terrible and has been for a few years

I agree with some of his opinions but Alexi talks alot without saying anything of real substance. He doesn't give a technical breakdown or reasoning behind his statements.

I’m American and all the digs at Canada and the Canadian fan base comes off as very distasteful to me. It reeks of a sense of superiority to me. Last time I checked, this US team has done nothing of importance and this tournament is most recent reminder. American pundits talking smack about Canada’s fans “all three of them” is uncalled for.

Canada played w an energy and intensity that we all hoped the US would play with. Canada wanted it and believed.

Canada's group with Argentina, Chile, and Peru was also tougher than US's group with Uruguay, Panama, and Boliva.

The thing with Canada is none of their key players are Canadian citizens by convenience, it's all home-grown talent. Something to be proud of.

As a Canadian, hearing Lalas say "anybody but Canada" makes me smile with immense pride. Go Canada!

The Venezuelan goal was caused by the fact that when the Canadian player was throwing the ball in before that goal, the Venezuelan goalkeeper went over & interfered with the ball thrower, which should have been an automatic yellow; but it was completely ignored by the Ref. The Canadian player should not have thrown the ball in right away because Marsch & the Canadian players were still stunned by the Refs decision & I believe that both Bombito & Crepeau were also upfield because they were correctly expecting a yellow card. Terrible Reffing partially caused that goal.

Reality is this: Jesse Marsch is preparing his team for the semi-finals of Copa America while Greg Berhalter is at home speed-dialing his brother... "hey Big Bro, can you save my job... your nieces and nephews will love you even more".

Just a note that Canada is now equally ranked to the USA in the ELO rankings - 31. I wouldn't be surprised if Canada wins a NL or Gold Cup before the 2026 World Cup. The problem with Americans is that we think we're better than we are. We're not a a top 15 team despite what the FIFA rankings suggest.

I couldn’t disagree more with Lalas. Canada played great. They were hungry. They had many missed opportunities but it was because they were aggressive. They played with passion. As an American I’m rooting for Canada.

Even if they are eliminated by Argentina, Canada's players will be able to return home with their heads held high. They will have succeeded in their World Cup and will have been eliminated by stronger than them.

"Anybody but Canada"? If it was Mexico it would hurt. With Canada and an American coaching it's just kind of weird and fun.

The whole US soccer federation is too entrenched with their leadership, ideology & direction. Imo , the social rot has seeped into our players+coach which hold us back. JM has found a way to cut thru that and inspire his boys to play hard and maintain discipline. Bravo - what a TEAM & coach !!! Glad to have somebody from North America to root for

Crocker was hired to make it look like the U.S. Federation was actually conducting a search when really they planned on keeping Burhalter in place. Did Burhalter's brother orchestrate this fiasco? Greg over several years has demonstrated his inability to get the line-up right, make in-game strategic decisions, and to show continuous improvement of the team. The Burhalter brothers need to go.

Marsch should’ve been our guy. His balls to the walls mentality is great for short international tournaments. It’s all about being present and taking risks with Marsch. Hate him or love it but the underdog on top!
