This tank when used properly really gives, I'd say the 17.5k gold bundle is worth it for experienced players, beware the voracious cupola...
chieftain is handsome as hell. so no matter how it perfomances, cheif can be easily found in game.
I just bought the chieftain for $24.37 last week. Tank is great, but i just need to get used to how the tank works and its optimal positioning. Already have 50+ win rate in the Asian server.
The downside of this tank is, You're screwed if a Type 71 decides to take you head-on on the medium side, gun depression of the chieftain has little to no effect on the Type 71. Also, It would be great if War Gaming made the hatch of the Chieftain kinda troll like the Type 71. Its a Premium tank Afterall!
What the Chieftain has over the Type 71 is accuracy. Play it more like a mid-range heavium where you can make better use of the gun while keeping your enemies at bay.
Chieftain has much more dpm then type 71, if the chieftain is average and can aim, they you should be set

Buy Vk90.01 or AMX M4 Mle. 54 or at least Super Conqueror
These premium tanks can beat Type 71 if you know how to make armor work and how to aim effectively
I have this tank and it’s not to be considered a heavy , it’s a MBT , you are pretty agile and have a very nice gun and dpm , not noob friendly but in the good hands… it’s quite a monster

My old faithful, needs a buff ngl, felt pretty gd for the first 500 battles with it but that was 2 years ago, when everything had less armour and less pen, nowadays it’s not as strong as I remember, pen is even worse since tanks like the e4, e100 and maus got armor buffs, t95e6 and Strv k r basically faster versions of it….so I feel that they should give it more armor and increase the HESH pen so that it’s actually different from the e6 and Strv k (which btw aren’t as strong as one would expect from a premium/collector)
