Hey Zuri thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us, I looove your videos. If you don’t mind me asking why were you rejected for the JET Program?
Hi Zuri, I recently applied for a Job to teach in Japan at a school called Shane English School through a company called ESL Starter and I got the job. I did background checks on both the agency and the school and scoured the internet for interviews and everything checked out/seemed legit. When I received the job offer they asked me to send my original degree to Japan for visa processing. Is that normal? If not please advise. Thank you😊
Thank you for this Bradley ❤ just want to ask though according to you is there really a difference when getting a job between having completed a 120hr and 420hr tefl certificate?
The best straight to the point videos I have watched!....Thanks bunch Zuri! Please which one works better? Looking for teach English in Japan jobs from home or while am in Japan?....intending to come to Japan next year....The one month delayed salary is the same system in America(New York).
I have a serious question: I am planning on applying to Interac soon to be an ALT in Japan. But I heard in Japan teachers eat lunch in the classroom with the teacher. What do you talk about with them during lunch? Is it not awkward? I want to avoid social or silent awkward situations. What do you do?
At my work place we eat lunch with the kids during their lunch, it’s not the best I won’t lie because I know that you would like time for yourself but if you don’t want to talk or interact it’s okay, there is no such thing as awkwardness here. Japanese people are very comfortable with silence or being alone in general.
I'm thinking of joining the JET programme but I'm a recent graduate and I don't have a lot of money to pay for the first months expenses 😢 maybe I can work first before I go to japan...
If your family can help you out or like some people take a loan then pay it back because the JET program pays for your flight and all of that so…. But yeah you’ll have enough time to save money because the process takes about 6 months or more.
,Thank you for the info ,may you be blessed, I have a TEFL Certificate, and I am currently teaching English online, but now I also want to start applying for a job .Do I need other qualifications besides the TEFL Certificate.

@mbotecyrille I didn’t get a certificate of eligibility, the requests of getting into the country were already met because my country is on the list of countries that can come to Japan on a teaching English visa. We started this process a year ago with the JET program so it took about a year. But once everything was done and papers were submitted. We got our Visas in two weeks or so.

Great video! A good video! It is very important for any person to find something to strive for and fight for no matter what the circumstances. Once you set the right goal for yourself, making decisions will be easy and fun. What used to seem like an excruciating chore will turn into an enjoyable activity. Go where your labour will be needed! Go where there is money and where your work will be decently paid! Sooner or later you will have to co-operate with people of different nationalities and cultures. To make your business successful, you should learn a foreign language. I would like to recommend to you Yuriy Ivantsiv's workshop "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips on learning foreign language". This book will help you to structure and organise your individual language learning process, will give you the opportunity to independently determine the methodology of language learning, which will become interesting and unburdensome. In this amazing book everyone will find a lot of useful information: how to learn foreign languages, how to memorise information, how to deal with culture shock, what to pay attention to when travelling to another country. I am convinced that the book "Polyglot Notes" should be in the bag of every business person, school and college student, and tourist. The most important thing is that the book gives a good motivation. Don't be afraid to do something to realise your dreams! If people realised that fears have no connection with reality, everyone would live a much better life. Thanks to the author of the channel for the informative and useful video. Your videos motivate me and give me new ideas!
