  • After five years, the secret of Zoltan is finally discovered. All the time, the full version of this song with a music video was just sleeping in a corner of the Internet ever since 2007.
People found it on dailymotion, and actually, you can simply search with the keyword "Zoltan", the video at the top of the result list is it. How ironic it is, that people have been hunting for the source for five years, but the solution is just that simple.
It turned out to be an advertisement made for a French bank called “Credit Agricole”. The creators and singers (probably Dak Tirak Productions) seem all French, too.
I added subtitles in Hungarian and English. As for the middle verse of "I want to dance", I'm not so sure whether the singer is singing "dancing" or "dance it" . Or maybe he just intentionally pronounces that "e" of the word "dance" in order to follow the beats. I think it's "dance it", hope anyone could figure it out for me.
I considered improving the video quality at first, but then I felt it would become a kind of disrespect for this treasure from the past. I mean, isn't keeping its original form also a manner to honor the age?
    Anyway, please enjoy it!

Very interesting how the lyrics are super generic. Probably because the French audience wouldn’t know what it means anyway, and the original ad had a “translation” that talked about the bank

    Hey!
Las chicas son hermosas, Los pajaros cantan
Las estrellas son hermosas, Una vida hermosa
Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey!
    Zoltan, Zoltan, Porque se emborracho?
Trabajador y enamorado, su vida es perfecta
    Zoltan, Zoltan, un buen húngaro
Incluso si esta nevando, Uno, Dos, Tres, Cuatro, Cinco
    Hey!
    (Zoltan)
    Quiero bailarlo, quiero bailar, quiero
bailarlo esta noche, quiero bailarlo, quiero bailar
    (Zoltan, Zoltan)
Las chicas son hermosas, Los pajaros cantan
Las estrellas son hermosas, Una vida hermosa
Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey!
    Zoltan, Zoltan, Porque se emborracho?
Trabajador y enamorado, su vida es perfecta
    Zoltan, Zoltan, un buen húngaro
Incluso si esta nevando, Uno, Dos, Tres, Cuatro, Cinco
    Hey!
    Zoltan, Zoltan, Porque se emborracho?
Trabajador y enamorado, su vida es perfecta
    Zoltan, Zoltan, un buen húngaro
Incluso si esta nevando, Esta es la vida perfecta.

Technically it is "French Lostwave", they just happen to sing it in Hungarian for whatever reason.

    1. "miért részeg? (why is he drunk?)" is very likely wrong.
    2. It rather sounds either "élvezet/élvezed/élvezzed (enjoyment/you're enjoying/do enjoy)" to me.
    3. "jó magyar (a good Hungarian)" is definitely wrong.
    4. The "jön a nyár (summer is coming)" suits better.

Full of mistakes! Not even a Hungarian can do a decent job? You wrote: egy-két-hó-négy, but it's egy-két-há-négy. You know, paying attention helps. Then the Hungarian grammar is also totally wrong: no Hungarian would ever say in his life "csicseregnek madarak"! Csicseregnek a madarak is the correct way. Yes, that little word "a" is damn important and makes all the difference between a Hungarian author and a foreigner. Did Dak Tirak Productions just use Google Translate instead of paying a native Hungarian to do it right?
