Back to DEER CAMP! Hunting on FIRST SNOW in NORTHERN MAINE

Headed back to Deer Camp for the middle of November!
Luckily for the guys in camp we have snow in the forecast. Tensions are running high with the excitement of getting on the first track of the deer season!
The great thing about tracking in the snow is your always in the game and learning how these whitetails move throughout the big woods. During the 3 day span the guys in camp found a little honey hole where the deer where rutting working does on this particular ridge system. Definitely something to keep in mind for next season or the next time we make it back to camp!

Heads up with using your radio guys. Tipping them on their sides when transmitting or receiving, will cut the effective distance by a ton. Antennae straight up and down will work best, both ways. Thanks for sharing. I like how you guys rib each other good. That’s hunting camp.
