I understand all the comments about shaking hands during an epidemic and in theory they are correct. But whilst we type on our devices in the comfort of our homes, please try to be cognisant that they are in that environment showing the most beautiful aspects of human nature. I'm pretty sure he's hygiene aware, due to him having them wipe and disinfect their hands before handing them the items. I know on camera it didn't show that occurred every time but it was probably edited out. I believe he still shaking hands because he understand the mindset of the destitute people he's helping. The homeless are so starved of human contact and the loving embrace of another human being and when another person shows such a gracious act of kindness towards them, they feel the least they could do to show some gratitude other than say thank you, is to put out their hand in an act of solidarity. Most the time not even conscious of the social impact of that gesture. He in return shakes each hand because he knows how vulnerable each of these people are and due to the shunning of society on these people they have formed a shell of hardness that's not very often penetrated. I remember the Guardian Angels came to LA in the early 90s to try to stop gang violence, the motel they were living in had dead, multiple gun shot wounded dogs and cats thrown at their doorsteps every day for a week. They were gone and two weeks, vamous.
Some of these homeless people were actually educated, successful people who through either addiction, loss of close friends or family or just plain bad luck found themselves on the streets. I really do feel bad for them and am glad these heroes are stepping up to help them during this pandemic

Pushing out a false narrative like the out reach is closed is going create unnecessary panic. VICE you should investigate what services are actually closed and which are still operational. I work for for a warming shelter and we are still up and running, same for the drop in centers. Case work has been disrupted but welfare has been helping with rapid housing. These guys have a good heart but are not telling the truth.

The world we live it would be a much better place if we had more people like them. Curtis and the Guardian Angels are noble and self-less. I do hope for their safety and the homeless people they interact with's safety that they try to maintain a six foot distance as they distribute supplies. Their mission is really honorable though.

Pushing out a false narrative like the out reach is closed is going create unnecessary panic. VICE you should investigate what services are actually closed and which are still operational. I work for for a warming shelter and we are still up and running, same for the drop in centers. Case work has been disrupted but welfare has been helping with rapid housing. These guys have a good heart but are not telling the truth.

This is awesome, love seeing how everyone gets together during bad times. Hopefully when this is all over humanity will have learned a lesson and see how much we actually need to work together instead of fighting. God bless every one and may everyone be safe.
That dude's doing great work but the question isn't can Corona virus put you in a pine box, the question is how many hospital resources will you use up before you're done with Corona? Besides if you get sick who's going to do this good work, you're acting as a healthcare worker now and you should protect yourself.
The world we live it would be a much better place if we had more people like them. With all the bad news circulating globally in this COVID-19 pandemic it felt great to see what they're out there doing for the betterment of society. I agree with the other comments though with regards to them taking every precaution necessary and having more PPE or keeping at a greater distance. We don't want anyone to be sick, obviously, but this is especially true for people out for the greater good.
