    The intonation can go down and it can still be a ‘yes’ ‘no’ question.

    Question for the hosts: It seems to me that it is perfectly fine for the intonation to go up in a sentence like " What kinds of movies do you like to watch?" It sounds more engaging and more enthusiastic than with a falling intonation. I do hear native speakers use a rising intonation in this type of question. Thoughts? Thanks!

      Different styles and situations. They are talking about some sort of standard. One should master the norm before moving away from that.

      Intonation in exclamations is similar to intonation in sentences. (Falling at the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) :)

      Hey, we have a video you should watch called "appropriate topics for small talk" that helps people learn about topics that are considered rude and polite in Canadian culture. Comments about people's bodies are generally considered impolite.

      Thanks i am from Toronto and the most offended people for comments are of course Women . They are like Adult babies getting easily offended over something small and insignificant . Nice videos though !!
