Having communication, trust, honesty & most definitely a great sense of humor, you also do need to give each other space from time to time. Everyone needs a break! Those are some of the best pieces of advice I could ever give. I've been married now to my husband for almost 17 years, been together for almost 20. He's my high school sweetheart! ❤❤❤

You know, it’s truly been one of my flaws to “stew.” I have to overcome my emotions and get in a better head space and for me, it’s time and practice.
Just never, ever ever think of divorce as an option (I mean of course there’s reasons for people to divorce, but I’m talking about every day living).
After our 25th anniversary we struggled through together some seriously tough moments and because I decided that I did indeed love him more than I loved my pride, I was able to learn to truly give of myself to my marriage.
