One of the RUclipsrs I watch keeps a jar of rocks, some the size of her fist. She uses then to prop up tipsy plants. Anchors down roots. Things like that.

I just looked up a blue oil fern on Etsy. A small plant in. 4 inch pot -$245. More than I’d ever spend.

I'm new to your channel and I'm really enjoying your content. I too have been looking for a Blue Oil Fern and I agree the prices are too high at this time. I'm very curious to see how the spore experiment comes out.

I just bought one of these on Etsy for $36. It’s currently in the mail. I’ve wanted one for over a year now but I definitely wasn’t paying hundreds. Of course I’m looking up how to propagate before I even get my hands on the plant. 😂

I just bought a blue oil fern for $30 at the home and garden show. It’s starting to send out spores which is what lead me to your video!
Also I just got through a battle with flat mites. If you’re in the U.S. contact Evergreen Growers in OR. I used predatory mites to eat all of the flat mites which spread to all of my houseplants not just my Hoyas.

These spores did not grow but when I contacted the seller, they recommended I give them more light. They sent me some more spores for free so I am trying again 🤞 Good luck with yours!!

You can use azamax for flat mites. You I don’t need sulfer on your Hoyas.

You don’t use the Aroid mix with your anthuriums?

Those are the spores? There's barely anything in there? My blue oil fern dropped a crap ton of spores of 1 leaf, you could see a thin orange dust on the soil. Did they germinate?

I know 🫣 they never did anything

It can take 2-3 years to make the spores in to plants you have long wait

I gave up waiting after a year!

Soil doesn’t have the nutrients that compost does.
