Awesome Video. Looks amazing. Billy is an encyclopedia of motorcycle history.
My second bike was a Yamaha MX 250 ...it was loud ( no muffler ) nasty and a bike I will never forget ! What a beast . PK
Sounds killer. How long did Yamaha have the MX Lineup, before they switched over to YZ?
@@sonnyseabury4051 I think it was about 5 years...I started to really get into bikes around 73' . I can remember the XL's and Honda XR 's in 72 and 73 and the Mini Trails in the early 70's . Japanese bikes got real popular around then . I can even remember a small Triumph back in the late 60's like a Mini Trail and a Suzuki called the Grasshopper . PK
@@sonnyseabury4051 For a year or two, Yamaha had both YZ and MX models.
@@thatsmrharley2u2 Thanks brother.
I wish I still had mine. I bought it used in late March 1973. My brother in law had bought one used in July. We both raced at North Florida Raceway in Palm Valley Florida. I loved it. I had Pirellis on mine he had Trelleborg tires. I ran Bel-Ray MC1 racing lubricant with 260 Sunoco gas. Which was their racing fuel. So did Ernie my brother inlaw. The previous owner had welded an after market stinger on end of pipe. He was the team mate of Neil McCormick who won the Florida Winter AM series that year.
Wow would you like to own another one
I really like the older bikes, I want to be a collector one day
Stunning tyres, chunky fresh rubber that survived 😮🤟🤠
Beautiful Montesa! You guys have the best of dirt bike porn! I say that because I go ga ga over a lot of your old 2 stroker dirt bikes. Superb! Thank You!
👍 watching your channel 👍 Hello from Virginia 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The guy down street from me had a CZ 400
Back in 1978 I had a RM-125
i like the upgraded bob barker mic

Hello from South Ukraine 🖐️😉 Video very, very beautiful ❤️ My Super Big Like for your my dear friend 😊👍
Getting close to the last model that Rich and Robbie's Cycle Shop in Murray City, OH had before the fire in 76 or 77. As I recall, there were a lot of Montesa engines in the shop with the crankcase open, like they often had transmission problems. They had problems with their #2 line too, Moto Beta.
😉👍🏻en mi pueblo había una... era su época
I owned 2 montessa bikes even got my licence on 1 the 360 H6 enduro and the 360 VR CAPPRA which I raced here in Australia 🦘🌏 the hardest part was taking the head off you needed a 7ml Allen key 🗝️ which most tool kits never stocked
Wow!! She is a beaut' sounds great as well. Too bad its so rare/nice, it would be great to see it in its native habitat lol..

@@KaplanCycles Bummer auctions are horrible
The same tune sung by the old Hodaka pipes.
I bet this bike is very light weight for its time!
Pero qué manía de sentarse en la parte de atrás , es facilísimo caerse si la moto levanta la rueda delantera, esas motos se conducen cargando el peso delante ; es una Montesa Cappra de motocross, fabricado en España. Yo soy español, sé lo que digo
VA Capra not VR????
Montesa's don't use head gaskets..
A motor cross before they could fly.
