    For folks that are using BEC enabled ESC's like the Mystery ESC's make sure that you pull the RED wire and make sure that your ESC wires are BLACK-wire-UP connecting to the NAZA! I am Using the Turnigy 9XR TX and the Orange 9CH DSM2 RX and my quad is flying "like a Dream come true"! I mean anyone can fly a quad like a pro once your NAZA is setup correctly. The challenge is wiring and radio settings. Once you get those 2 things right a 10 year old kid thats never flown anything b4 can fly it!:)

    No mixing needed but I had to swap a couple of channels over on the Tx, there's a wee diagram in the Naza manual which shows the S.bus channel mappings. The single lead supplies power to the Rx and does the control signals.

    I think the fruitplate exactly placed at one arm of the quad is the most important thing for a successful DJI Naza setup :) ! Besides, during building and fiddeling with my quads i normally eat several apples - no joke. While eating and looking at the things it's not seldom to have a good idea.

    Great video! Just to add, I use my R2008SB in S.Bus mode to the Naza, works just as well but 1 wire instead of 7. Bit less spaghetti on the quad :)

    You don't have to remove the positive wire from the servoplug. All of the positive pins in the NAZA-M controller is connected, so it will not "burn" or anything. I fly it with on my quad with UBEC builtin my ESC, and none of the positive leads is removed, and it flyes perfect.

    I use one 3 position switch for the 3 flightmodes and another switch for failsafe that works for all the 3 flightmodes. Are you saying that's not possible or am I misunderstanding? I use Spektrum DX8 but don't think that's different.

    You talked about this "feature" in one of your videos.
    You said that you can switch into the failsafe mode from every flight mode by using an extra 2 position switch.
    And everyone tells me i must mix the switches.
    in this "tutorial" you show the t8j which is exact my model.

      You can buy it from nearest store (unless you are living in Antarctica, in that case just be safe from polar bears, because if they eat you then your setup-apples will be of no use)

    Hey Ali, nice video. Setting up a 500 quad with this unit. Have a question about why to not hook up the red esc wires. I am assuming that is the power positive wire, correct? Why is that important, many their videos don't mention that. Also, can I just hook up the signal wires only on the receiver connectors? Thanks for all your videos, one of my favorite channels on the tube.

But now I am building a new quad with DJI NAZA and the Futaba T8J radio, when I went in and tried calibrating the receiver the stick movement does not show up in the DJI assist program. I can arm and disarm the motors with the stick movements but it does not show up in NAZA, any ideas?? Any assistance would be appreciated

  • @GarretB123
    @GarretB123 12 лет назад

    Does it matter which direction the naza points on the frame?

  • @jrizzo909
    @jrizzo909 7 лет назад

    all you guys not connecting should understand that only 8 wires (Quad) should be plugged into your Naza. The 4 from ESC M1 - M4. The S-BUS servo lead from port X2 into the S-BUS port on the RX!!!! The V-SEN servo lead goes into port X3. Then the standard L.E.D. and GPS connections go in their designated place. Thats it fellas...I had problems until I switched TX and RX. I went from a DT7 and the accompanying RX and never achieved flight, let alone connection to Naza. So I wound up buying a Radiolink AT9 with the R9ds rx and connected and flying within hours of delivery...Hope this helps you. Oh yeah the TX and RX are less than 100 on Amazon with Prime next day delivery...

    Hi Ali, I have a little problem with trottle and I can't find a reasonable solution. Trottle works perfect if I check on software, but if try to control it on the drone, motor start running slow and then suddenly fast once I move forward the trottle stick a bit over half the way. It should control motors progressively from the lower to the highest position and viceversa, but works only if I connect the machine to the computer checking to the manager software, so I don't understand why it doesn't act the same once unplughed. I'm using futaba Radio T8FG transmitter, and R6208SB receiver. Both motors and escs are from DJ Naza, as well the main kit NAZA V2 (yellow one) the frame is instead from X650 aircraft. Thanks so much for your help.

    Why wouldn't you connect it via the S-BUS instead??? It is only one lead you need to connect your receiver!!!
