Not as glamours or action packed as R/C truck or car. But chargers and other R/C electronics how to's and reviews are really helpful. Much appreciated.
I bought the iMars dual right before this was released! 😂 it's been a great addition of a charger. I started by putting traxxas connectors on everything trying to avoid having multiple chargers. Well. I took the plunge just a few weeks too soon haha. Oh well, I am super pleased with my new charger regardless! Keep up the great content!
That's pretty dope! I dislike the Arrma and Traxxas smart chargers because of having that smart stuff built into the main plug. Might have to add this to my collection.
I love this charger. I use 6s batteries to charge my crawler batteries. And I wired a qs8 plug from my trucks battery with adapter. I charge on the go now. Ya know
Nice informative video of this new charger, I'm planning on buying a new charger either this new Gens Ace IMARS D300 or the ISDT K4. I'm kind leaning towards the Gens Ace since it's a lower price but it has less power than the ISDT charger.
Just adds smart technology and automatic charging start if you want. Does not charge any faster. The best part of Gtech is that the smart sensor connector is built into the balance plug, not into the charge lead like other brands do. This means you can charge a GensAce Gtech battery on any charger, not just on GensAce charger
Okay, I'm dumb, I just got a Losi MX bike and am trying to charge it but it doesn't have the balance lead, all the videos I've seen on this charger are charging batteries with them, I'm stumped? I keep getting an error code asking about balance lead, even sometimes with batteries that have them.
I don’t like the automatic charging feature of the gtec batteries. I would prefer the charger ask you what function you would like to perform charge, discharge, storage charge, cell check. It automatically assumes you want to put power in the battery.
It's simple to change... think about it... Just apply anything nonconductive onto the battery smart sensor contact of the balance plug. Then the charger will not know (detect) it's a Gtech battery and treat it like any other battery. A simple small piece of electrical tape over the balance plug smart sensor would do the trick. You could even use a piece of paper, plastic strip cut from any blister pack, or coat the sensor with liquid electrical tape or your wife's clear nail polish so it will not conduct electricity. There is really no downside to the way the Gtech system is designed.
Like what charger would that be? This thing will pump out 16amps x2 for 2s lipo,s for $130. And they are known to actually honor their warranty unlike most other companies. 😂
@@redndeyes@redndeyes I've been using Traxxas batteries, charger, and aplicable plug adaptors along with my Traxxas & non-Traxxas RCs since I started this avocation in 2019. Never a problem.

Im getting one this is a nice charger and its actually not a bad price for what you're getting. $129.00 on Amain. Perfect charger.
Thanks, first video or even legit material showing where to find battery cycle counter :D

I have the Imars Dual and it’s been a great charger so far

I have one of these and it’s a great charger. I hope it lasts a long time.
How has it held up so far?
I have 1st gen and the new D300. Love it!
I really like these chargers
👍😁😊
Just got this charger in today and holy cow this thing is sweet! Wish I used your affiliate link to help you out, next time for sure
Just ordered this with some Gens Ace xt90 batteries. Im getting a traxxas maxx v2 next month. Cant wait for some Bashing! Nice review and ‘how to’ 👏🏽
How would you charge a transmitter or receiver battery with a JR / JST end?
This guys at BTC and still dropping vids like clockwork. 😂😊
And dropping more on members only vids

I have an Ovonic x1 very very similar. Screens look same. Gotta watch that voltage setting 😂😂
Hate the white, give me a black one. Otherwise, lots of power, a bunch of options, great value. Thanks for taking a look! 👍
Why hate the white?
@@TattuUAV Hate the looks and shows every speck of dirt/grease.
What’s the difference in the batteries with gtech and the ones with out. Do the one with gtech charger faster or is it just the smart technology

gens ace version of a spektrum smart charger
So this thing , for 129$ , will charge two 4s Race packs , at 1C (6-8A) .... on AC.... deal...
My next RC purchase will be this charger I think.

I need that for survival 💯

Joe can you charge those gtech plugs on a regular balance board?
Hello.
How do I change the language?

lol theres far superior AC chargers for a little bit more money. who cares about the smart features, dont be doofus
Ovonic X1 isn't bad pretty much same thing without the smart plugs. 102bux

Why doesn't it accommodate Traxxas iD plug batteries? It accommodates every other Lipo plug. It's completely useless to me and countless others.
Cause traxxas makes garbage electronics especially for the cost. Should be upgraded asap. Shop around you'll see. Literally anything is an upgrade imo

@Douglas Elliott problem free perhaps yet limited performance capability and fun
