It is evident all Priscilla cares is image and appearances. She's so vain. Riley even does a hand gesture when Priscilla says there were always so close to put a shade on what Priscilla is saying.
There are so many clues in this video that Riley just tolerates Priscilla and allows her to be involved, but only at a distance. Watch again- you can see the little jabs. Riley laughing at her and saying something about Priscilla driving home the point that they are so close. It felt more like Riley was saying "Wow you are really laying it on thick." And Priscilla admitted she had no idea that Riley actually liked MJ. She'd know Riley's feelings about MJ if they were truly close. And then Priscilla asks Riley several times "Did you know this story?" as to imply that Cilla knows more about LIsa than Riley. Priscilla probably insisted on being there so she could control the narrative, and you can see that in how she answered the questions. She didn't answer about her favorite memories of being at Graceland with Lisa. Instead, she took the opportunity to accuse Delta and the others at Graceland of neglecting and spoiling Lisa. I could go on and on but this interview is so telling.
I have a very strange feeling about this. I think Reley is great but she sits there with a grin on her face while the book wasn't a joke. And then hug Priscilla and pretend like nothing is wrong. Lisa has said that she never felt wanted by Priscilla, that she fell off a horse on purpose to have a miscarriage, she never felt love or support from her mother especially when she needed her mother the most her mother chose a creepy boyfriend who also admitted in his own book that he lusted after young Lisa. What a creep. All in all, strange interview, strange vibe, the laughter, the looks back and forth. Why not identify the elephant in the room and tell it like it is.

This is so insulting to Lisa’s memory to allow Priscilla to gaslight Lisa. Priscilla is being allowed to spin the narrative in real time. The book is supposed to celebrate Lisa’s voice no Priscilla’s. The reality is that Priscilla allowed abuse to take place. She was not a caring mother who prioritized her daughter as the book shows. Priscilla is… such a… piece of work… She didn’t like Michael, because she “knew” he just wanted to marry Lisa Marie because she was Elvis’ daughter and he was such a big fan… Okay. She wasted time talking about MJ when ironically Lisa repeated several times how her mother used her. I want healing for this family, so I completely understand Riley wanting to have a relationship with Priscilla. I just wish this Q&A had actually delved into Lisa's reflections of her mother from the book rather than the same Priscilla Presley talking points that she brings up in every interview.
I think for Riley it was necessary to have her grandmother there, it was her first big event at Graceland and im sure she was nervous. I would love to know the relationship between the 3 of them, cause they all seem so diferent, also i would like to know the process of the drug problem. I have read the book twice and Lisa said bad a good things about her mom, even when she was writing from her pain and traumas, but she did said her mom tried her best and she was there for her, maybe not at Lisa wanted or needed, but they have good and bad times, Riley said they were close family and you can see that. Life is complicated and she did many mistakes, yes, but if Riley who knew their relationship and life better than anybody, wanted her nona there, then who are we to judge.

Priscilla is so fake she’s lived a lie for so long that she don’t know how to be truthful. Lisa was so down to earth and so private that when she spoke you listened. Lisa spoke from her heart while Priscilla speaks from her mind. When Priscilla said after Elvis died she would travel and buy Lisa toys to get her not to think about her dad. You don’t do that with a child who’s been through trauma. Lisa should’ve been taken to a licensed child psychologist to help her deal with the grief. Priscilla’s biggest mistake was taking 9 year old Lisa and joining Scientology and relying on them to fix Lisa. Priscilla just don’t know what it means to be a loving mother. Lisa even voiced that her mother didn’t want her. There’s no warmth to Priscilla as she’s talking like she brung up Michael Jackson I believe Lisa when she said she loved Michael and this is back when Lisa and Priscilla were very much involved with the church of Scientology and the church urged Lisa to get Michael to join Scientology because back than they wanted all these famous people to join it was a call from Priscilla saying that Scientology got word that Michael was planning on divorcing her so she needed to file first. Most people know that the Jackson family are very much devoted Jehovah’s witnesses. Priscilla is a very controlling person! Just like Lisa’s book Priscilla won’t ever read it because Lisa blows her cover. I believe that Priscilla’s always been jealous of Lisa because Lisa don’t pretend to be someone she’s not. Just like when Priscilla says to Riley did they clap louder for me or you. This is a game to Priscilla it’s always been about money with her. The saddest thing about the Presley legacy is that the biggest part to Elvis is that he was a devout Christian. I’m glad Lisa got out of Scientology in 2014. Lisa left this world hurt because of Priscilla putting out that movie about Priscilla and how it made her dad look like a perv. Lisa was so hurt about the movie that she sat her teenage daughters down and explained there’s a movie coming out about your grandfather and it’s not the way he really was. Lisa was all about love, honesty and loyalty. Riley is a sweetheart! I thank her for finishing Lisa’s book. That I’m looking forward to reading.

There are so many clues in this video that Riley just tolerates Priscilla and allows her to be involved, but only at a distance. Watch again- you can see the little jabs. Riley laughing at her and saying something about Priscilla driving home the point that they are so close. It felt more like Riley was saying "Wow you are really laying it on thick." And Priscilla admitted she had no idea that Riley actually liked MJ. She'd know Riley's feelings about MJ if they were truly close. And then Priscilla asks Riley several times "Did you know this story?" as to imply that Cilla knows more about LIsa than Riley. Priscilla probably insisted on being there so she could control the narrative, and you can see that in how she answered the questions. She didn't answer about her favorite memories of being at Graceland with Lisa. Instead, she took the opportunity to accuse Delta and the others at Graceland of neglecting and spoiling Lisa. I could go on and on but this interview is so telling.

It would be one thing if Priscilla showed up, humbled herself, and was open to a genuine conversation about some of her regrets as a mother. This just wasn't that. She wasted time talking about MJ when ironically Lisa repeated several times how her mother used her. I want healing for this family, so I completely understand Riley wanting to have a relationship with Priscilla. I just wish this Q&A had actually delved into Lisa's reflections of her mother from the book rather than the same Priscilla Presley talking points that she brings up in every interview.
I think for Riley it was necessary to have her grandmother there, it was her first big event at Graceland and im sure she was nervous. I would love to know the relationship between the 3 of them, cause they all seem so diferent, also i would like to know the process of the drug problem. I can't believe that Priscilla thinks this was ok. A complete slap in her daughter and grandaughters face, she avoids addressing the book .
1. The way Priscilla kept asking Riley “did she tell about that?” came off as passive aggressive and like she was weaving her own vindication narrative….at an event for her daughter’s posthumous memoir.
2. Priscilla saying Lisa seemed to like “the feeling of not being normal” is one hell of a way to refer to your child and also one hell of a way to rid yourself of any responsibility for not being there for her when she needed your protection. Where are this woman’s maternal instincts?
3. Priscilla referring to the clearly painful and strained relationship her daughter wrote about in her book as “little ups and downs” says everything. Failing to protect your daughter against a creep who, according to Lisa, was sexually abusing her for years, is not “little”.
4. It’s so gross how she’s made so much money off of Elvis’ name and could not protect his most precious love.
5. I’m glad Riley just let her talk and in that way have Priscilla tell on herself.

I have read the book twice and Lisa said bad a good things about her mom, even when she was writing from her pain and traumas, but she did said her mom tried her best and she was there for her, maybe not at Lisa wanted or needed, but they have good and bad times, Riley said they were close family and you can see that. Life is complicated and she did many mistakes, yes, but if Riley who knew their relationship and life better than anybody, wanted her nona there, then who are we to judge.

When Priscilla said after Elvis died she would travel and buy Lisa toys to get her not to think about her dad. You don’t do that with a child who’s been through trauma. Lisa should’ve been taken to a licensed child psychologist to help her deal with the grief. Priscilla’s biggest mistake was taking 9 year old Lisa and joining Scientology and relying on them to fix Lisa. Priscilla just don’t know what it means to be a loving mother. Lisa even voiced that her mother didn’t want her. There’s no warmth to Priscilla as she’s talking like she brung up Michael Jackson I believe Lisa when she said she loved Michael and this is back when Lisa and Priscilla were very much involved with the church of Scientology and the church urged Lisa to get Michael to join Scientology because back than they wanted all these famous people to join it was a call from Priscilla saying that Scientology got word that Michael was planning on divorcing her so she needed to file first. Most people know that the Jackson family are very much devoted Jehovah’s witnesses.
