    Thank you for another informative video, I paid for the NIK collection mainly because I take a lot of photos inside churches and noise is always a problem and I found Define2 very useful for this. I am hoping you will continue to produce videos on using NIK. Thank you.

      Thanks Barrie. I have quite a few more videos in mind. I want to build up a good playlist of Nik Tutorials. But if you have any suggestions for subjects, let me know.

    So I review computer hardware and I take my own pictures. So, I know photoshop well enough to do what I do. However, since getting the A7III, I've really gotten into photography. I was gived the Nik collection from Intel at a launch event, but I had no idea howw to use it. This video was extremely helpful. Thank you!

    Hi Robin, thanks for the video.
    i have just installed the 2012 version but the selective tool is not present under file/automate any ideas?
    Cheers

      it should still show but I’m sure some other people have reported something similar. it may be a bug that crept in with some setups. have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?

      @@RobinWhalley i have reinstalled it now and although the S.T is still missing it will n ow apply any layers i make through the filters panel, for a free bit of software i can settle with that, thanks for taking the time!

    Can this be used with Photoshop Cs6?

    • @RobinWhalley
      @RobinWhalley  4 года назад

      I haven't tried it and don't have CS6. In theory I would expect it works but it would be best to try with the trial version of the software.

    Nik collection Selective tool option not available on my back up laptop under file automate (CS3) but is on my primary laptop running same. How to fix?

    • @RobinWhalley
      @RobinWhalley  3 года назад

      Sorry I don't have any idea. It should show up in the file automate menu. I would report it as a bug to DxO (assuming you are using the DxO version).

      This is one of my older videos so the quality may not be as good as it should. All my videos should be in full HD. I’m not able to go higher due to slow upload speeds where I live.

    It's unfortunate that the Nik Collection can't be used as a Smart Filter/Live Filter when using it in Affinity Photo.
    I really hope Serif let's plugins be Live Filters in a future update...

    • @RobinWhalley
      @RobinWhalley  4 года назад

      It is. I know a lot of people would like to see an equivalent of Smart Filters from Photoshop supported in Affinity.

    • @JJSogaard
      @JJSogaard 4 года назад

      @@RobinWhalley. Well the Live Filters are there for the built in ones. But yeah. Only the built in ones.
