This is the crazy thing about these movies. You can introduce a cool concept for a movie, but now whoever they announce as the anchor being for the MCU, there will be a group of people who are disappointed no matter what
My theory is Tony stark was the anchor being for earth 616 and the world is slowing dying and we don’t know if but in avengers doomsday and secret wars it will be explained
Personally, I think it's Happy Hogan. Aside from the fact that he's a character that we were introduced to all the way back in Ironman 2, he's also played by Jon Favreau, the director of the first Ironman movie which kick started the MCU. He also has strong ties with other MCU characters like Spider-man
I think the concept is gonna have an exception for the "sacred timeline" which is why they are guarding it because it doesn't have one and it was one of the ones who died they already proved a variant can replace them so who knows but my theory is they don't have one but other universes do.
iron man as the anchor being and so they have to find a new one and they maybe even find a tom cruise cameo and they find the fantastic 4 universe and that is how that connects to the mcu and then they find doom
So, in my theory, in the MCU in the Infinity saga Iron Man was the anchor being...... but after he he died, the universe started crumbling and 616 got opened to the Multiverse, and this started to cause its diminishment..... but that's when Loki came in to replace Tony as the anchor being in the Multiverse Saga (atleast temporarily until the universe gets soft rebooted after secret wars) but after the MCU gets soft rebooted after Secret Wars, we know for sure that it's gonna be the Mutant Saga..... and for this new beginning, some x-man or mutant who is powerful af will be the anchor being.... I don't think it's Wolverine because he already was for the fox xmen universe and, more importantly, no one else who plays Wolverine other than Hugh Jackman can be the anchor being let's be honest about that one.... in which ever universe Hugh is Wolverine, for that one, he IS THE X MAN - I.e anchor being..... but I sure do hope that while the mutant Saga is going on, which will be for a solid decade or more to cover up all those gargantuan amounts of comic content... Marvel will manage to get the rights of Spider Man back form Sony then they can somehow soft reboot once again to give Spidey his deserved and unintentionally time to shine then he will become the anchor being, cause c'mon, he is and always be the anchor being of the entire marvel universe/multiverse/omniverse/comics/cinema etc.... but more than him is Stan Lee- our legend
The anchor being concept might be useful for the plot of beyond the spider verse like if Spider-Man 2099 unisverse died because the old Spider-Man 2099 was the anchor being
In my opinion 'Anchor Being' is just a metaphor for the popularity lead of a franchise. So when the popularity of that franchise dies out, so does the franchise.
I find the consept of an anchor being more interesting on a Meta Level then a story level. I feel like it should be either Iron man or Steve Cap because these are the two MCU characters that have defined and built the MCU. Making it a character that wof theseasn't even a part of the founding Avengers, even Spider-man. Although the comics version of Spidey could be a prime contender for the Earth 616 anchor being
I think it is iron man as he is the face of the MCU and in deadpool and wolverine they said that a universe could take thousand of years to dissapear after the anchor being dies
How about loki or iron man like what if after iron man's death the Avengers started searching for a new iron man in hopes of stopping the universe from dying and then come across dr doom

Spider-Man was supposed to be our anchor being for Kang Dynasty. Idk if that maybe has changed due to it now being Doomsday. But it makes sense considering RDJ is playing Doom and i think that Spider Man and Seeing Tony as a multiversal threat and spider man and the team of other anchor beings losing to doom during doomsday to create battle world would make for some good stuff. Wouldn’t be surprised if we even get a future foundation Spider Man down the line due to the fantastic four being introduced now. all just makes sense. Honestly I want to have more than one anchor being in the Mcu. But if we were to choose one or have one. I would rather have any of the following three: Doctor Strange, Thor, ans Spider Man. These three are my wishes to become the new mcu's big three.
The scrapped Kang dynasty script revealed that Tom Holland's Peter Parker aka Spider-Man is the anchor being of the 616 mcu sacred timeline. But, I headcanon(if they don't make it) that Tony stark was the anchor being of the mcu until he died and Spider-Man replaced him. Rumor has it that mephisto bought avengers tower and showed Tony his fate that he is to die saving the universe, and Tony made a deal that Peter becomes the new anchor being, but that's also just a theory/headcanon
i think it makes sense to assume an anchor being in relation to how popular the are in media. I mean if u think about it Wolverine was probably the anchor being of his univers because he was the most popular character. Theres probably mant other charcgers thats more powerful than him so I dont think power is a variable in assuming who the anchor being is. With this in mind I would have to say either Iron Man or Spiderman is the anchor being, probably Spiderman cuz he and Wolverine were two of the most popular heroes in the comics, and considering Wolverine is the anchor being of his universe, its safe to say 616/Prime Spiderman is probably the anchor being of his
ya have to remember this. multiverses can mean anything is possible. so the main mcu timeline doesnt need a anchor being. even the tva stuff in dp 3 coulda just been bs and just some weird tva plot or something to justify destroying the universe cause they knew it was done cause they too can break the fourth wall considering there power.
Whenever there was a leaked script for the Kang Dynasty, it said that they found out the Spider-Man was the anchor being. Idk if they'll keep this though because obviously Kang is irrelevant now.
Not mcu related, but if they do Franklin Richards or Mr Immortal, it makes the most sense for it to be them. In the comics, they are destined to see the end of the universe and eventually become the new galactus when the universe restarts.
I read some spoilers of the canceled avengers the kang dynasty and i read that tom holland's spider-man was supposed to be the anchor being of the main mcu earth
Dr stranger and spiderman could be but they don't play major role in secret wars but i do say dr strange but black could have been the one because it is through him the first incursion occur for secret wars
I honestly think it's Ironman, it said the universe can't survive without its anchor being but it also said that the universe could fall apart atleast 1,000 years after the anchor being dies so right now, it really shouldn't matter if RDJ's Tony Stark is the MCU Anchorbeing
If they make iron man the anchor being there will be a way they can bring back the RDJ as iron man or doctors doom after secret war in to the main mcu like Deadpool
Crazy theory coming: It’s Nick Fury, in the comics he has nothing to do with most of the plot outside of shield whilst in the MCU he and shield as a whole play a much bigger role and he is basically in charge of the avengers in terms of when they do anything whilst Cap is only leader on the field
I feel like making Spider-man or Doctor Strange the anchor being makes sense because of how powerful Doctor strange is, Spider-man is the number 1 most popular superhero in the world, so I guess making him the Anchor being would make sense. But Doctor Strange makes more sense.
Iron Man is definitely the anchor being. The multiverse only started falling apart after he died. It could be an explanation for the possible incursions leading up to Secret Wars.
i loved deadpool 3 but i feel like the anchor being thing is kind of weird because what if they die of natural causes? with how long the timeline is bc time is basically infinite, an anchor being would really only be alive for a very small part of it... so i don't understand how it works at all

Man thing would be cool and make sense due to his connection to the multiverse
i think it makes sense to assume an anchor being in relation to how popular the are in media. I mean if u think about it Wolverine was probably the anchor being of his univers because he was the most popular character. Theres probably mant other charcgers thats more powerful than him so I dont think power is a variable in assuming who the anchor being is. With this in mind I would have to say either Iron Man or Spiderman is the anchor being, probably Spiderman cuz he and Wolverine were two of the most popular heroes in the comics, and considering Wolverine is the anchor being of his universe, its safe to say 616/Prime Spiderman is probably the anchor being of his
Loki because he is literally anchoring the timeline.
Spider-man or scarlet witch
I heard in the original adventures 5 mcu Spiderman was the anchor being but they could have changed it
ya have to remember this. multiverses can mean anything is possible. so the main mcu timeline doesnt need a anchor being. even the tva stuff in dp 3 coulda just been bs and just some weird tva plot or something to justify destroying the universe cause they knew it was done cause they too can break the fourth wall considering there power.
My theory is Iron Man. He practically help create the mcu. Besides we know universes wont die for thousands of years anyway.
So cool
The anchor being is Spider-Man because he was in the MCU since Iron Man 2 when he was the little kid with the Iron Man mask
That's literally what u was thinking yesterday😂
I read some spoilers of the canceled avengers the kang dynasty and i read that tom holland's spider-man was supposed to be the anchor being of the main mcu earth
Dr stranger and spiderman could be but they don't play major role in secret wars but i do say dr strange but black could have been the one because it is through him the first incursion occur for secret wars
Russo Brothers and RDJ have proposed origin story for Dr. Doom and in it, Spiderman is the anchor being of MCU.
I honestly think it's Ironman, it said the universe can't survive without its anchor being but it also said that the universe could fall apart atleast 1,000 years after the anchor being dies so right now, it really shouldn't matter if RDJ's Tony Stark is the MCU Anchorbeing
I hope Doom is like the Fortnite one. I know it sounds corny, but he is an absolute MENACE.
It could be an explanation for the possible incursions leading up to Secret Wars.
i loved deadpool 3 but i feel like the anchor being thing is kind of weird because what if they die of natural causes? with how long the timeline is bc time is basically infinite, an anchor being would really only be alive for a very small part of it... so i don't understand how it works at all
I have a theory I think that the mcu has three anchor beings
1.cap Tony Thor
2.dr strange Tony Peter
3.black panther iron man wolverine
4.thanos captain America Thor
Stan Lee is the anchor being, that’s why he is everywhere and referenced everywhere. He’s just currently chilling with the watchers.
This will be interesting
We need a Deadpool and Spiderman film
The key stone species…
