Hi Linda. Thank you for the giggles as usual. You are so correct in all of your advice. Our life is up to us to figure out. I am 80, on my own and so many friends can't understand why I prefer to be on my own in the twilight years. If I want to stay in bed till noon....no problem. Everything is my choice. I enjoy learning new things. Right now I'm learning the Ukelele and I paint. I fill my days with what I feel like doing. As a female we were taught there were rules on how to behave, how to look, how to dress etc. And you're right WHO CARES! Just live your life and be happy. Looking forward to your next video.

That was fun. I am 68 and loving being retired. I was born for this! Every day I am free, if there’s no doctors appointments, to do whatever I want. You’re right. It’s a wonderful feeling to be finally free.
@@retiredlifeinBali I have become what I’ve always wanted. What the hippies called a “back to the Lander”. I live on 10 acres, have egg laying chickens, get local beef and pork from farmers and have 3 gardens. I love to preserve food and experiment with canning, freeze drying and milling my own wheat (new thing for me). I love travel but did too much and now I am ready to just stay home in my small house.

I have been globetrotting since 2014. While traveling, I wondered about retiring early and moving abroad. Last year, I started the process of getting on track to live abroad. Currently, I am in the Carefree Expat Incubator program with Patricia Brooks. So, I decluttered my house and put it on the market. I didn't realize this process could take this long. So, I am working as a traveling sleep tech until my house sells. Then, I plan to live in one of my favorite countries, Poland. Yes, I am learning Polish because it is known as the 3rd hardest language in the world for English speakers. That is my story. ❤😊
So fascinating Natina. Love all of it. I haven't heard of the Incubator program and good for you to set yourself up in a community of like-minded people. My great-grandfather is from Poland (Krakow).

Hi Jennifer, it's all of what you said. My son and grandchildren live in California, all my friends are in California. I miss being able to get together and have lunch, dinner. I miss going to a movie. So I need to accept where I am and not fawn on those memories because I'm not there. Yes, my daughter is here, and she is been so helpful and the staying positive is looking at what I do have working for me. Hope that makes sense. Thank you for asking ;)
Hi Linda im an Australian woman of your age and i salute your courage and have thought of moving to Bali. However i really cant so will visit in our winter. I have been 3 times but not since 1996 and a lot of people have warned me that it is so crowded now in The places i loved its horrible. So watching your channel it doesn't look overcrowded but what do you find? Im currently trying a keto diet
Yes, there are many overcrowded areas. We live in Seminyak and can be busy. There are outlier areas that are not so crowded and would strongly recommend trying a few areas during your stay as each area has it's own personality. I'm the daughter and was on keto for 5 years and was the best decision I made from a diet perspective when I was going through menopause. It helped with so much of the symptoms. I had a belly for the first time in my life and keto got rid of it. Not sure if that happens to everyone but keep at it if that is your goal. I also ate a lot less because of all the protein, I was always full and carbs doesn't make you full.
Hi Christine, I am 75 and stay in Sanur, it is a fabulous. It is definitely a lot busier than my first trip there in the 1980’s’, but it isn’t still a wonderful and cheap holiday. I am sure you will love Sanur as it is quieter than Seminyak, Legian area. Give it a go - I am an Aussie to too and live in WA.

@ My suggestion is then to go onto one of the FB expat groups and ask the others who they would recommend and then research them thoroughly. Check out at least 5 of them that have been in business for at least 10 years. The process will take time. Be patient. Another viewer had stayed in Lovina area (very quiet) at a home stay for $15 a day.

Sanur would be your best bet for a less crowded calming experience
